Max had calmed down a bit after the conversation with his father the day before. Giving him new confidence that he and Charles would be okay after a while. Also to know his father support's and acceptance of him made him feel better.

His father also made him tell what happened to his mother and sister, and though not the most convenient. They had a nice family evening via Skype. That was after they went trough all kinds of feelings as Max broke the news to him about what happened with his lover.

The first race of 2020 was held yesterday, Since the race was held on the Red bull ring again this race week the whole formula one circus stayed in their hotels for another week. Having to stay in bubbles between official events to not breach protocol.

The former couple didn't see each other much on Monday though they stayed at the same hotel they never were in the others way much. Having team and sponsor duty's at other moments of the day.
Only at the end of the day they saw each other in the hallway as Max just exited the elevator with his father and Brad. While Charles was walking alone.

As he saw Charles turning the corner alone in the hallway he said to his Father and trainer. 'You wait for me in the lobby? I have to do something first'

After finding out that his father had nothing to do with Charles's action's he had been even more confused about everything. Especially cause nobody saw it comming and like his father said until a week prior Charles had looked at him like: 'he hung the moon and stars in the sky' it was so strange of him to behave like this, so out of character for him.

So Max sprinted after Charles though trying not to be seen by the other team members that were also staying in the same hotel.
As he reached him he pulled the monegasque towards the side for a bit more privacy.

'WH-WHAT THE FU-' Charles turned silent as he turned around and saw who pulled him to the side. 'Max?' He asked in a soft voice. 'Wh-what are you doing?'
The dutchman who tried to compose his emotions replied with. 'Can we talk Charlie? Please?'
Charles didn't say anything, only averted his eyes towards the ground as he fumbled with the hem of his t-shirt. 'Charlie please, just five minutes ?' He asked again.
Charles nodded as he motioned for them to walk towards his hotel room only a couple of meters ahead.

As Max followed his ex boyfriend he took an extra good look at him. Charles was always fairly pale skinned but now his skin seemed even more pale then usual. Blue circles tinting around his eyes. His stubble growing more with acne on his chin. Shoulders slumped and his expression blank with sad eyes. How Charles managed to hide everything from the others baffled him. Cause if you really looked at him you could see that he wasn't well.
Why did he do what he did if he was hurting too?

As the pair entered the room Charles turned fully towards Max, even though he didn't look at him and was picking at the skin of his fingers. The air in the room was tick, the easiness they felt around one another till a week ago long gone.

'So uhm...' Max started as he suddenly was in loss of words, he had so many questions for the monegasque but got scared for the answers. But he knew if he wanted to get somewhere he should.

'Uhm... i-I just don't understand Charlie? What happened? What changed? Max asked fixing his gaze on the man he loves.

Charles sighed. 'Nothing, I just realised that we shouldn't do this anymore' he said not making eye contact with the dutchman.

'But why?' Max counter asked as he started playing with the hem of his shirt, trying to keep his emotions at bay.

'Just because Max...just because I tell you so. I-I can't, we can't do this anymore' He replied looking anywhere but at the dutchman.

Max felt his eyes prickle with still unshed tears. Trying to keep his emotions at bay, he bawled his hands in fist, knuckles turning white at the applied pressure.
'Charlie.. I can't.I - I won't believe that. It's unlike you to just throw all those years away.' He said while a single tear escaped his eye.

''Don't I deserve to know? To at least try to understand? Cause I really don't understand Charlie' he pleaded.

Charles was now blinking away his own tears. 'Max please I need you to go, pl-please just - just go'

'B-but?' Max started but didn't get to finish.

'MAX JUST GO' Charles raised his voice slightly'I don't have anything else to say to you'

In a last plea Max reached for the monegasque's hands. 'Please Charl-'

'No Max! I-I well I guess you - you then never knew me at all!' Charles looked at a Max dead in the eyes.

At that Max dropped Charles's hands, the tears that were now spilling out of his eyes furiously wiped away with his sleeve. With one last glance he said: 'fuck you!' And left the room.

Max then went to is appointments absentmindedly. His only focus getting though the day and the day's that followed.

Formula 1: Charles Leclerc warned for breaking coronavirus rules.

Charles Leclerc has been given an official warning after breaking Formula 1's coronavirus protocols.
The Ferrari driver returned to Monaco this week between the Austrian and Styrian Grands Prix at the Red Bull Ring and was pictured with friends.

Personnel are required to remain within their 'bubbles' between races.
An FIA spokesperson said that Ferrari had been given a reminder and warned that "any further breaches could be referred to the stewards".

Officials can prevent personnel attending races if they ignore the rules.
Leclerc was found to be in breach of article 3.14 of F1's Covid-19 code, which says: "Any time outside the venue during a covered event or between covered events must be spent with other members of the same group, keeping interaction with persons outside that group to a minimum."
