Ally's pov:

I clung to my phone in my hand, looking at my schedule for what must have been the 100th time today, making sure that I was in the right building, and standing outside the right classroom.

It was the first day of classes, and today I only have two lectures. I had my first lecture this morning at 10, and this one at 2.

It was weird not having to wake up at six in the morning for school, which must have been the worst part of high school.

My earliest class this semester is at 10 am, which I think is the perfect time to start my day.

Claire didn't get so lucky. I heard her getting out of bed at 7 am for her statistics class, and I was grateful that it wasn't me.

Since my major is still undecided, my classes are just general credits to get me started. I decided to have a mix of classes, including writing, science, psychology, history, and math. I already knew that any type of computer, data, or cybersecurity class wasn't for me.

I can barely make a graph in excel, let alone know how to do anything with a computer at all.

Anything technical is out of the picture.

The classes that I am looking forward to the most are psychology and writing. I enjoyed my writing classes in high school, and I've always had an interest in learning about psychology.

Taking a deep breath, I step into my second class of the day, wondering what compelled me to put a math class on my schedule.

After my class, I decided to stop at the cafe and grab a drink. I texted Claire to ask if she wanted something too, but getting no response, I guessed that she is probably asleep.

Even though I haven't known Claire for long, I found that we share a lot of similar traits.

We both love fashion, we had an embarrassing long glee faze, and we appreciate a good nap no matter the time or place.

Of course, there are more amazing qualities, but those are definitely the most important.

I planned to get in, get my drink, and leave. If I was correct and Claire was taking a nap, then as her roommate, I have no choice but to take a nap as well.

Rules are rules.

So when I got to the cafe and received my drink, I planned to do just that.

It's unfortunate how things work out.

My name is shouted from the other side of the cafe, and I turn my head to see Bre waving me down at a table with her group of friends.

"Hey! Ally, right?" Bre says as I take small steps toward her table.

The five girls sitting with her look me up and down while tilting their heads, whispering to one another.

I couldn't hear what they were saying, and I only hope that they are saying good things.

Maybe even complimenting my outfit that took me thirty-five minutes last night to decide on as Zoe, Sophia, and Claire all laughed at me.

Nothing comes between a girl and wanting to look good on her first day.

I was able to recognize two of the girls from my first lecture this morning. They sat in the back of the class and were talking pretty loudly to each other, even when the professor was introducing himself.

Claire told us that Bre was popular on campus. She was in almost every club, and her sorority was the well-known for holding the best parties.

We were thinking about going the other night, but we decided to just hang out in my dorm since we were still recovering from the previous night.
