Coming up with this title made me feel so smart lol.
Axel's pov:
Leading Ally into my bedroom, it takes every fiber in me to act like sharing a bed with Ally isn't a big deal.
Sure, I have shared a bed with females before, but this was so much different.
I've never shared a bed with someone I actively had a crush on, especially someone as beautiful as Ally.
Without looking back, I head straight to my dresser and grab a t-shirt and an old pair of sweatpants that had shrunk over the years.
"You can wear this, so you are more comfortable," I say, handing my clothes to her.
She takes it with a smile and mutters a shy thanks, and then heads to the bathroom down the hall to change.
Once I hear the door click shut, I take a seat on the edge of my bed and put a hand over my racing heart, but once I realize what I'm doing, I quickly remove it and groan.
I'm in my third year of college for gosh sake, and I'm acting like some inexperienced high school freshman who's never seen a girl before.
I've never cared this much before, so I don't understand why I care so much now.
I grab my water from the side of my bed and easily chug half of it, hoping that it will calm my racing heart.
I feel like I just ran a marathon from how my body is acting up.
I quickly stand and change into sweatpants and a t-shirt as well before Ally comes back in with her dress in one hand and her phone in the other.
Seeing her in my clothes makes my heart skip a beat, and I have to force myself to look away as I feel a blush creeping up on my cheeks.
Damn it. I'm not going to make it through the night if I keep this up.
"Do they fit alright?" I find myself asking, looking back at her just enough to see how my clothes fit on her.
"Yes, thank you." She says, and for a second, we just stand there and look at each other, until I quickly snap my head to my bed and gesture my hand toward it.
"You can sleep on whichever side you want; I have no preference," I say, to which she nods her head and picks the side farthest from the door.
She gets under the covers, and I savor the image of her in my bed for a good second before turning off the lights and getting in on the other side.
There was still a bit of light shining through my window from the streetlight outside, so I was still able to see a bit clearly through the room once my eyes adjusted.
Seconds, then minutes go by as I wait for her breaths to steady, knowing that I won't be able to sleep until I know she already is.
But that doesn't seem to happen, so after giving her a few more minutes, I turn towards her to see her already looking at me. It took her a second to realize I caught her looking, and if it weren't for the bit of darkness in the room, I would bet that a small blush was now resting on her cheeks as she looks up at me.
"Like the view?" I muster up the courage to tease, causing a small chuckle to leave her mouth.
"You would like that, wouldn't you?" She asks. I shrug my shoulders under the cover, even if there was a great chance she might not have seen it.
"Everyone likes to be complimented every once in a while," I say, resting my head on my arm as I look at her.
It would be a miracle if I got any more than an hour of sleep tonight, a damn miracle.
