Ally's pov:
By the time the three of us were ready to go, I got a text from Axel saying that he was here.
I double-checked myself in the mirror for what must have been the hundredth time since I put it on, still surprised that the dress made me look the way I do.
As soon as we get back, I'm buying this dress in every single color, no questions asked.
"Girl, I hope you know CPR 'cause you're gonna have to give it to him when he stops breathing in ten seconds," Claire says as we exit the elevator and head toward the front doors.
I shake my head, laughing at Claire's serious expression. The two of them have been making comments like this since I put the dress on, and let's just say Axel has got some high expectations to give.
"I'm going to have 911 dialed and ready because he's going to drop dead when he takes this in," Zoe says, motioning to my body up and down.
These two are crazy, God help me.
"I hope he doesn't drop dead because I don't plan on being sober tonight," I say, ignoring their outrageous comments.
Both Claire and Zoe shout words of agreement, knowing that the three of us deserve to have a good time, even if it means having some poor company.
"Hopefully Morgan and her friends don't end up showing up tonight, I would hate the mood to drop like last weekend," Zoe whispers to us as we approach the front doors.
"One can only hope," Claire sighs.
As we step outside, my eyes instantly fall on Axel, who was standing off to the side while looking down at his phone.
Claire and Zoe must have had a telepathic moment because before I know what was happening, they both put their hand on my back and push me towards him.
I whip my head around, only to find them hiding their giggles behind their hands while pointing at me to go to him.
Knowing that there's no point in fighting them on it, I begin to approach him.
He must have not heard the sound of my heels because it wasn't until I was only a foot away from him that he finally looked up.
And then his mouth dropped open.
Not going to lie, I had laughed off pretty much every comment that Claire and Zoe have been making in the past hour. Mainly because I knew for a fact that Axel wasn't going to go into cardiac arrest or drop dead on the sidewalk once he saw me.
But maybe I should have given them a bit more credit because, for the first time since knowing Axel, he stuttered.
Actually stuttered.
"O-Oh wow, Ally you look... wow." he struggles to get the words out, and when he realizes what he said, or in his case, didn't say, he shakes his head at himself, seemingly embarrassed.
He takes a deep breath before saying, "What I mean to say is that you look really beautiful. You always are, but this dress..." he runs his hand down the side of it with a gentle caress, which makes me aware of how gone I am for this man.
"I know what you mean. It's Zoe's dress, but I plan on buying this, or maybe several kinds of this dress myself." I answer truthfully, which makes him grin.
"If that's your plan, then I have a request."
My eyebrows lift, waiting for his response.
"It has to be pink, your statement color." He says, removing his hand that was still caressing my side.
