Axel's pov:

Ally looks as if she is going to pass out at any second.

Which is really the only thought that I have as I glance at her from my side of the living room. She and Claire were on the couch, Ally laying with her feet on Claire's lap. She looked exhausted as she tried her best to keep up with Claire's conversation, and I had to hold back a laugh as every few minutes, her head would start drifting to the side before she would snap back up and force herself to stay awake.

It was a bit cute if I'm being honest.

How she always tries her best to show people that she is listening when they talk to her, even if she is seconds away from drifting into what will probably be a pretty deep sleep.

Dylan and I were on the other couch, with Zoe resting on a bean bag chair in the corner of the room. We decided to move to the living room since we got tired of standing around the kitchen counter.

Dylan was saying something to me as my eyes drifted to Ally for what must have been the tenth time in the past five minutes, and I could tell that Dylan noticed as well because he just rolled his eyes at me for my obvious infatuation with Ally.

Which is what I've been calling it for the past couple of days.

Since the night began, I found myself not wanting there to be any distance between Ally and me, even going so far as to getting on the dance floor because the thought of any guy asking her to dance made my gut churn.

And even though I was there, they still tried.

I stopped at least five guys from getting their hands on Ally, and I'm sure she didn't even notice because I had frightened them with a glare before she could even see them.

And when I brought her outside to let her get some air, I wanted to stay there, just us, for the rest of the night.

But since I must have done some terrible thing in my past life, our time was cut short because soon enough Dylan was getting himself into a fistfight.

Which wasn't at all surprising, since Dylan has done this type of shit so much in the past.

I tried to hide the fact that I was pissed at Dylan for getting into a fight with that frat guy.

Even if he had a good reason to do it, I know that any reason wouldn't be good enough for coach, who is going to kick his ass as soon as he finds out.

And coach always finds out.

Don't ask me how. I wouldn't even be surprised if coach has his own, personal spies that run around campus making sure we aren't getting ourselves into trouble.

With the season still so far away, I doubt that he'll bench Dylan for his actions, but I'm sure Dylan will have one hell of a practice on Monday.

And I will have one hell of a meeting with him tomorrow morning when he brings it up. Because again, he always finds out.

Looking over at Ally again, I watch her as she stretches her arms out and yawns. It was definitely past 3 am at this point, and I know that I should probably walk them back to their dorms soon.

As much as I genuinely enjoyed this night and wouldn't want to see it come to an end, I know that the three of them are ready to get to bed.

But just as I am about to ask them if they want to head back, the front door slams open, and the sound of voices speaking loudly to one another fills the house.

I look back to see Bryce with his girlfriend, Morgan, and her group of friends making their way into the house.

Most of them being completely wasted.
