Ally's pov:

We continue to stay and talk in the dining hall for what must have been thirty more minutes. It was quite amusing to see Axel and Dylan's friendship dynamic. It was almost as if everything that Dylan said or did was with the intention to piss Axel off.

But even though they playfully bickered back and forth for most of the time, I could see just how great of friends they were.

They brought up their boxing team, and I may have mentioned that I've been to quite a few matches back in high school because of my friend group.

To say everyone at the table was shocked was an understatement. In fact, Claire didn't take me seriously until I told them everything I knew about it, which was quite a lot.

They finally believed me after that, and Dylan told me to come to one of their matches, which I was already planning to do since Axel invited me earlier.

Speaking of Axel, his jaw was dropped the whole time I was talking about what I knew about boxing. I swear the more I talked, the more his mouth would draw open.

I am sure he didn't take me to be the type of girl who would know a bit or two about boxing.

In fact, I give off the complete opposite vibe as someone who watches boxing matches with their friends.

Once that conversation ended, Axel pulled me aside just to ask me to talk about it again. I was confused by what he meant, but apparently, he's never met a girl who was genuinely interested in boxing before.

I doubted it was true, because it seemed to be such a big thing around here.

I also told him he would love meeting my friends too. I am due for a facetime call with my sister anyways, and I'm sure Luke will be lingering somewhere in the background.

Ella is still having trouble with making friends at school, and I feel awful that I'm not there to help her out. She went home the first weekend instead of going out, and I felt guilty when I told her all about mine.

I only told her bits and pieces of the "kind man" who helped us that night. Knowing her, I wouldn't hear the end of it if she found out that I ran into Mr. Popular.

My sister has always been a bit protective of me since I was the sister who was a bit too naive to see things for how they truly are.

That includes people.

Since she's across the country, I can only assume that it's ten times worse since she won't actually get to meet him herself.

I had one boyfriend back in high school, and safe to say, she did not like him.

At all.

Good luck to any of my future boyfriends when they need to meet her.

After finishing up dinner, the six of us leave the dining hall and the boys walk us back to the dorms. We told them they didn't need to, but they insisted.

It gave me a sense of Deja vu from when Axel walked us back on that night.

It seems like so long ago.

"I am, quite literally, about to burst." Dylan groans, rubbing his stomach.

Since Dylan and Axel have a house with their other friends, they don't technically have meal swipes. They use whatever flex money they put into their school account.

I was flattered that they came and ate the dining hall food with us, since they could have just eaten something at home which would have tasted much better.
