Ally's pov:

I told him.

I told him about Sophia and what I saw in the car... as well as who I believe caused them.

It felt good to say it out loud because keeping these thoughts to myself was starting to make me feel sick to my stomach.

It was also nice to hear Axel's take on it, to see if I was perhaps crazy to assume that her long-term boyfriend was doing such things. I wanted to know if or not I was being a bit unfair towards her boyfriend for assuming such things.

But Axel assured me that I wasn't wrong for thinking that it's him, considering that she was with him all weekend, and we didn't notice any marks before she left to see him.

So timewise, it would be the only explanation.

She was at his place the whole entire weekend, at least, that is what she told us.

Axel sat and listened to me rant about all of it.

Like what Ben had said about him, Bryce, and Dylan about how he believes that they are bad influences on us and so on.

Axel almost lost it during that part.

Like I've said many times before... Axel is protective. So hearing him get a bit worked up about Ben cornering us and trying to get us to listen to him was no surprise at all.

This may be a poor time to admit this, but hearing how protective Axel is over us girls is endearing.

I know that I need to have this talk with Zoe and Claire before bringing it up to Sophia, but I'll probably have to wait until after this lunch to not make it suspicious.

It helps that with Axel, everyone assumes that we are probably making out right now, not having a serious discussion.

Axel and I exchange a few more words until Dylan is coming out to get us, saying that the food has arrived.

Apparently, our friends had drawn straws to see who had to come out and get us, assuming that Axel and I were, again, making out.

It wasn't surprising that Dylan lost.

I couldn't help but laugh at Dylan's cautious expression before he realized that we were just sitting on the bench outside, having an innocent conversation.

We follow him inside and join the others. Now that I've gotten some of my thoughts off my chest, I was able to enjoy my time with my friends more easily.

The rest of lunch went by insanely quick, and after another half an hour of just sitting around and talking, we leave since the boys have to head to practice in a short bit.

On the way back, Axel somehow convinced...

And by convinced, I mean forced Bryce to drive and Dylan to sit in the front so that he could sit in the back.

I wasn't even able to get a word out before Zoe pushed me onto Axel's lap, who gladly accepted me without any complaints, for the ride back to campus.

I was nearly a blushing mess as everyone crooned over us, clearly enjoying my embarrassment a little bit too much.

When we got back to our dorm, and everyone else was saying their goodbyes, Axel kissed me and whispered Good Luck in my ear, which was honestly needed for the type of conversation I was about to have.

I needed some luck, indeed.

When we got back up to our floor, Sophia had commented on wanting to take a quick nap before starting her work, which worked out perfectly for me to get Zoe and Claire alone to talk.
