Axel's pov:
It's been about two hours since I dropped the girls off at their dorm, and since then, I've been waiting to hear back from Ally on whether or not they were planning to go out again tonight.
Although I'm not the biggest fan of going out, I have to admit that Claire, Zoe, and especially Ally make the night much more exciting.
I told Ally to text me this time instead of Dylan because if I have to hear it through him again, I'll more than likely lose my shit.
He likes to brag, and since he knows that Ally texting him rather than me pushes my buttons, he makes sure to rub it in my face any chance he gets.
To get even with him, I might just punch him in the face for the hell of it.
It'll at least make me feel better.
Besides, if anyone can take a punch to the face, it's Dylan.
Not that getting into fights is a good thing, but it's definitely toughened him up a bit.
I did end up telling him about my conversation with Coach this morning, and he wasn't at all surprised to hear that Coach already found out about the fight from whatever source he gets it from.
This isn't the first time Dylan has walked on thin ice with Coach, and I'm sure this won't be the last.
First it started with his grades freshman year, then it was his "out of control" party behavior that caused him to show up to practice still wasted from the night before. Sophomore year was when he really started to get on coach's nerves when he began getting into fights with guys who decided to stick their noses in his business on a bad day.
By midseason of sophomore year, coach decided that he had enough of his constant, shitty behavior, and told me that if I wasn't able to control his behavior, he would kick Dylan off the team, no matter how good Dylan is.
That was a huge reality check for Dylan, and after that day, he's been trying to stay on his best behavior.
Well, at least good behavior considering that it's Dylan we are talking about.
Dylan's still as much of a partier as he was before, but now he thinks before he acts, which is all I ask of him.
If he parties the night before, he makes sure to show up to practice on time, and as sober as he can possibly get.
There are also other things that haven't changed. For instance, he's still a womanizer at heart, even though I haven't seen him take any girls back to our apartment yet this semester.
But I'm sure it will happen sooner or later.
I've witnessed many walks of shame these past two years while trying to make myself a simple cup of coffee. They either walk out embarrassed or proud as hell, and I honestly don't know which one is worse.
I've also witnessed the tragic aftermath of the girls he led on to believe they had something more, and I still have PTSD from spending hours removing spray paint that said some pretty horrific things off the side of our house.
Once I finished my conversation with Dylan, I went to check on my other roommate, Bryce, to make sure he was in fact, still alive, since he still hasn't emerged from the darkness of his room.
After confirming I didn't lose a roommate to alcohol poisoning, I head to the gym to work off any built-up frustration from my morning with Coach.
Sometimes, one of the guys will join me during my workouts, since it seems that's all I do nowadays. Even though I am close with the three of them, it is so much nicer to get the peace and quiet I needed to clear my head by coming by myself.
