The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

Kendall ask George about a man he met.It was another sunny afternoon in Los Angeles. Kendall didn't have to show up to work until later that evening. He was driving over to Homely Hills to talk with George. George and his beautiful wife Betty live in this scrumptious house in Holmby Hills. Decorated in a high-society variation on mid-century modernism. The decor was immaculately maintained by Betty. Betty was meticulous and made everything she did seem effortlessly glamorous. The gate slowing open. Kendall drove through the gate. He pulled his car up to a sprawly mansion with a waterfall spraying mist in the air. Kendall park his black Chevy Chevelle in front. He went up the stairs, as he was about to knock the door open. Hello Sir, George is in the atrium. Said Marcus the butler. Ok Kendall said, I know the way.
It was a central open-air atrium. It offered a view from the baronial foyer straight through the house to the pool pavilion beyond. George sat at a table smoking a cigar reading the papers. He looks up, well hello there. George said. Kendall sat down and look at George uneaten breakfast. Not hungry he asked. Na late night. Speaking of late nights weren't you at Franks party all night? Asked George. Yes, said Kendall and later I went over to Fred's club. George looks at Kendall reply, look at you dress in a suit all spiffy so early this morning. Kendall chuckled, grab a toast and butter it with jelly. You never know who you will meet. You don't want to look like you just woke up. Said Kendall. Kendall looks at George and chew on his toast. The butler brought Kendall a cup of coffee. Kendall finish eating and took a sip of coffee. He slowly put it down and look at George. I'm here to discuss with you about a man I met at one of your parties. Oh, really said George. There are so many which one are you referring to. said George.
Leroy, do you know him? asked Kendall. Oh yes said George. He is one of my finest cameramen. He knows what angles to get the shot just right. He is excellent at what he does. Kendall listens as George went on and on about how Leroy was excellent at what he does. Kendall quietly asked do you know him personally. George stopped mid-sentence of praising him, ugh no he reply. Kendall told George that Leroy was getting too personal with some of the actresses. He was concerned that Leroy was going too far with them. George chuckle. Kendall always looking after the ladies but doesn't have one himself.
Kendall smile who to say I don't. George looks at him and reply looking to settle down are we. Maybe said Kendall. They talk on about show business. Kendall knows he is getting nowhere with George about Leroy. So, he switches the subject. He asked about the man he saw talking to George the last time he was here. I thinks I met him somewhere. Said Kendall. George put down his cigar and said that Nate. He an up-and-coming producer. He stops by to talk about a movie he wanted me to produce. Said George. Kendall smile and asked is he any good. George chuckled not as good as me. They talk about the upcoming Celebrity Party. Going to bring a girl this time asked George. Kendall smile, I might just do that. He put his empty cup down and said I'll let you know. He got up and said his farewells and walk outside towards his Chevy Chevelle. Its black color was glistening in the sun. The sun was bright as he put on his shades. Kendall opened his car door and sat down. Now he had a name and information that he could work with. Kendall thought about it as he drove out of the gate and headed towards work. He will need to meet with Mr. Anderson and let him know.
Kendall was sad to find out George was talking to a communist sympathizer. Maybe George didn't know who Nate truly was, but Kendall knew. It was circulating that Nate was recruiting and now had his eye on George. He would have to ask Mr. Anderson how to proceed with this. He would hate to see George ruin because of this man. Kendall pulled up to the theater that he manages. He parks his Chevy Chevelle and strolled inside. He walked up the stairs to his office. He opened and closed the door. Kendall notice that there were letters on his desk. He took off his suit jacket and carefully hung it up. He carefully rolled up his sleeves. Don't want ink stains on his shirt. Kendall sat and started opening the letters that were placed on his desk. He opens one and stare at it. He knew who sent it. The letter simply stated "je sais ce que tu fais" in perfect French. "I know what you're doing" Kendall put the letter down. If Leroy thought that this was going to scare him away, he had another thing coming. Kendall wasn't scared by Leroy because he knew just what type a man Leroy was. Kendall will not allow Leroy to hurt anymore girls. He ripped the letter to shreds and put the remains in the trash bin. Kendall grabs his suit jacket and put it back on. He straightens his tie. He left his office, and pass Sam. Hey Sam heading out, something came up. Will you look out for things here? Sure, thing said Sam. Kendall exit the building heading towards his car. He knew what needed to be done. He could not allow one man to disrupt the very livelihood that he had created. Kendall work very hard to become a part of Hollywood. It took years of meticulous planning of meeting the right person asking the right questions and he will be damn if one-man tears that all apart.
