Itwas summertime here in Los Angeles. Clear blue sky, warmth radiant. Kendall wasdriving his black Chevy Chevelle over to George's house. He enters the gate anddrove up to the mansion where cars were everywhere. He parks his Chevy Chevellenext to a misty blue Jaguar. Looks like Bob was here. His wife Delores adoresthat Jaguar. Everyone was talking about the party at George. It was tocelebrate the upcoming movie that was sure to be a hit. George boasted anexpansive network of friends that included the who's who of Hollywood. Kendall looksaround by the looks of the cars park outside this was going to be a boisterousparty. Made up of George's friends, acquaintance anyone who was part of themovie business was here. Kendall walks up the stairs and enter the spacious home. The sun fills the entrance hall and shine on its features of mahogany and ebonized quadruple chair-back settee. The settee was in green velvet adorn with mahogany wood. Betty favorite color. He went to the atrium which open to the backyard. The atrium was lavishly adorned. The slight breeze brought in the scent of roses and dahlias.

Kendall stood there, so still taking it all in. He listens as the laughter of the party surround him. There were the lovely ladies hovering around Betty, Audrey

Grace, Marisa, Marylin, Mimi, and Nancy. Kendall saw Bob and Deloris. Frank and Mia. He notices Camilla talking to her friends Janas, Francis and Lulu. Kendall saw a group of men listening to George. They were the up-and-coming producers Nate and Ed. Actors Dan, Al, Charles, and Sam. Georges close friends Ron, Matt, and John. He stood there watching as the crowd mingle in and out. He stood watching listening and remember when he was first brought into the business. He was just out of the war where he was trained to intervene to be like the enemy. Kendall went through rigors training for weeks on end. Not just physical but mental. They would strip you bare remove your emotions one by one until your molded into a version of what they wanted. Then they build you to be the person they needed. On the outside you were friendly, everyone like you. You blended into the crowd. You were the ideal friend. Little did they know what you were. You saw it all, heard it all. The whisper in the gossip circles. You knew about everyone little secret, and you used that to your advantage. After all that's what you do best again and again. Kendall didn't think about the people involved. George, Frank, Bob, or the ladies. He needed to remember his rules because one day he might have to betray these people. It was best if he didn't get too involved.

This is what Kendall did best, going to party after party mingle with the Stars. Always listening, learning, making mental note of things.

Who knew if your neighbor was conspiracy against you? Kendall knew, he made it his job to know. It was his job to find out who favor the communist. This is what he was trained for. What he was good at. This was what he was and to think that no one knew. He smiled to himself. He was the perfect Trojan horse.

Kendall smile and wander in between the crowds saying hello here and there. Always smiling. One hand with a drink the other greeting those to say hello too.

They dance to the music chatting quietly to eachother. Later when the crowd started to thin. Kendall went and talked to George.Congratulation on your movie. I'm sure it's going to be an Oscar hit. George smiles,I'm sure it is. Kendall took Betty hands and said the party was lovely. Oh,Kendall you're such a charmer said Betty. Kendall headed out to his vehicle. The front of the house was almost empty. He notices a gleaming black Ferrari.Kendall got in his black Chevy Chevelle. He watches a man walk a lady to it. Heushers the lady in and went around to the driver side. The man looks around and got in. Kendall recognizes her as one of Camilla's friends. What was her name Kendall thought as he started his car?
