Kendall pulled up to the tailor shop. He got out of his black Chevy Chevelle and look around. It was quiet on the street. Warren called him and let him know that his suit was ready for pickup. He enters the tailor shop; Warren was behind the counter. Hello Kendall thank you for coming I have your suit ready. said Warren. Let's go over your shirt and tie. Said Warren. Ok Kendall reply. As they were discussing ties color Warren quietly mention that Mr. Anderson is in the back waiting for you. Ok, I think the red one would work he reply to Warren.

Kendallwalks to the back of the storage and press a button behind the shelf. A doorslid open. Kendall quietly slips through it. He found Mr. Anderson was quietlytalking to another agent. Mr. Anderson glance up and notice Kendall. He shookhands with the man, and he left. The man nodded to Kendall as he walks out. Kendall come said Mr. Anderson and motion him to his desk. Sit said Mr. Anderson. He pointed to the chair in front of his desk. Kendall sat not knowing why he was called. Mr. Anderson asked, how are things going. Kendall share where he was with the stars of Hollywood. The who who's of Hollywood. Mr. Anderson listen. He asked Kendall here today because he had something for Kendall to do. That he was best suited for. He remembers where he found Kendall and why he chose Kendall.

It was the end of the war Mr. Anderson stop by the training facility in San Diego. He was always on the lookout for men that would be suited for this kind of work. Mr. Anderson heard about a marine that exceeded in everything that was thrown at him. He was excellent at what he did. This man excels in all commands he was given. Mr. Anderson had to meet this man himself. He pulled up to the gate, flash his badge the one that was official. He was wave through. Mr. Anderson parks his official government car. He walks over to where the Master Gunnery Sergeant was barking orders to a group of men. Sir I like a moment of your time, Mr. Anderson said. The officer turns and asks what can I could do for you, he said. I'm looking for this man, Mr. Anderson show him a picture of a marine in uniform. The officer looks at it, that's Staff Sergeant Kendall. He down at the docks. Mr. Anderson thank him and left to go to the port. Sergeant Kendall was reported to be on the USS Kern.

Mr. Anderson went up the plank to the attending who was verify a list of names of marines that were heading off the ship. Good day Mr. Anderson reply. He shows a picture of Kendall and ask if he was on board. The marine glance at the list. No sir, he left days ago. Do you know where I might find him. Asked Mr. Anderson. The marine said no. Mr. Anderson asked around and was told to talk to his commanding officer.

Mr.Anderson enter the commanding officer's office. He shook the commander handsand was motion to sit. Mr. Anderson sat brush off the dust on his pants. He looksat the commanding officer and asked about Kendall. The officer looks at him.Why he said, why would you want him. I know who you are and why your here. Thecommander said. Why would you want Kendall? Don't get me wrong Kendall a marinethrough and through. He did a lot of great work finding those Japs. The officershook his head now that the war was over, he just didn't see Kendall fittingin. Mr. Anderson ask why? Kendall just doesn't have it in him to be a marine. Don'tget me wrong. He exceeded in everything that was thrown at him. He verymeticulous and detail. But he just doesn't have the team performance that werelooking for in a marine. He a loner. He likes things a certain way. There's noflexibility in him. Kendall can get fluster if things don't go as planned.Explain said Mr. Anderson. The commander looks at him. There was this one timewhen one of the other marine mess with his rifle. The men were cleaning theirrifles and joking around telling a story. One of them grab Kendall's rifle tomake a statement of what he was saying. Well let's just say the man found himself on the ground looking up at the butt of his gun. Kendall doesn't joke around when it comes to his rifle.

Mr. Anderson said I'm not looking for a marine. I'm looking for an observer. Someone who is meticulous detail. I think he'll do, send him to me. The commander pauses, do you know what type of man Kendall is? No said Mr. Anderson but I have a feeling he will do well with what I have for him. I don't know said the commander. Kendall is indifferent not like the others. He aloof as if he studies them to take advantage of them. Don't get me wrong, he a fine marine, but I don't know the commander said. Do you know where I can meet him said Mr. Anderson. Sure thing he has a part time job at a theater in Los Angeles. The officer gave him the address and Mr. Anderson left. Mr. Anderson did find Kendall and asked him a question. It turns out that Kendall was just the marine he was looking for.
