Dani's Dream.

Dani pulled up to a restaurant in town. It was a diner nothing fancy. Her favorite spot to have a quick bite with her sister. She had so much reading to do. She didn't want to be gone too long. Her sister Marv was waiting as she open the door. Marv was a tall, beautiful blond, whereas Dani was 5 ft 8 brown hair and plain looking. Sometimes Dani wishes she had more of her sister looks and charms. She was always self-conscious when she was in the presence of men. Dani was jealous of Marv. The prettier one. The one everyone wanted to party with. Marv always got what she wanted.

Dani always dreams of meeting her knight and marry him. Dreamed about the white house with the picket fence. As she grew older, she became jealous of what others had.

Dani became bitter that she didn't have that. All she ever wanted to do is to get married.

She grew jealous of her sister Marv the pretty one. The one who always got the guys. Marv was sitting at the table in the back impatiently waiting. Dani hurriedly rushes over. Sorry Marv got tied up at work. Said Dani. Marv mutter you always are tied up at work. What so important that you missed are weekly luncheons? Marv grumbled. She twirls a spoon in her coffee.

Oh, I can't say said Dani. They order lunch and Marv was talking on and on about the Celebrity Party. Then notice Dani wasn't listening. Dani did you hear a word I was saying. Marv exclaimed. What Dani asked? Marv exclaimed, it's a huge gala that happens every year in Los Angeles. Its where everyday people can go an mingle with the stars. Everyone talking about it. Dani thought about it and knew she just had to go. Marv was invited via her job connections. Dani and Marv were sipping drinks watching people go by outside. Dani decided that she was going to go to the Celebrity Party. It's important to know who the Stars our when she receives her award for completing the project. Dani thought it would be great to get a picture with them. Dani asked Marv please can you get me a ticket. I must go to the Celebrity Party. Marv look at Dani you she laughed. You don't even like to parties. Said Marv. But I must go. said Dani. I heard there will be lots of photos. Dani exclaimed. I must get a photo with the Stars. Marv chuckled, You, no one will notice you to asked for a photo. Please can I go? asked Dani. Ok Marv said, I'll see if I can get another ticket. They talk for a while and then Dani left to go back to work. Dani hugged her sister. You're the best. she spoke. Marv watch Dani leave. She chuckled and shook her head. Dani can't look past herself to notice anyone else. She'll hate the party, but if her sister wanted to go, she will acquire another ticket. This should prove fun Marv thought. She sat back down and sip her coffee. Dani was a character she chuckles to herself. Dani only thought of herself. It used to make Marv so mad but over the years she began to understand Dani. Dani wasn't beautiful like she was, but Marv knew how to bring out the best in a person. This should be fun thought Marv.
