It was Carly birthday. Kendall just got home from work. He enters the kitchen to make himself some coffee. He notices that the counter were not clutter anymore. Thanks Marv. He hated the fact that Dani was so messy. He sat at the table sipping his coffee reading the paper. Daddy, your home said Carly. Hello birthday girl. Carly climbs up on Kendall lap. I'm three now she said. Kendall hug Carly. You sure are. Mommy and Melody are still sleeping. Should we wake them? said Carly. No said Kendall. Here sit I'll make you breakfast. Can you make me banana pancakes? Said Carly. Kendall ruffled Carly hair sure thing kiddo. Kendall quickly got out all the ingredients. Cooking calms him. Kendall notices a knife with peanut butter left on it. It angers him, did she think she could hide the mess. They will find out. Kendall gave Melody a fork. You girls finish eating I'm going to talk to your mom. It was almost 1 in the afternoon; Betty would be here soon. He went into their room to fine Dani still sleeping. He almost stumble over her shoes. He bent down and pick them up and put them in the closet. He went over to the windows and open them up letting the slight breeze enter the stale room. Kendall went over to Dani and shook her shoulder. Dani get up, he said. Dani groggily woke up. What do you want Kendall she said? Get up its Carly birthday. The guest will be arriving soon. So? said Dani. Kendall looks at his disheveled wife, it angers him that she cares so little for Carly. Kendall grasps her arm and drag her out of bed. Kendall whisper in her ear. Today is Carly birthday and you will be on your best behavior. You will not embarrass me in front of my friends. He pushed her to the bathroom. Now get dress they'll be here soon. Said Kendall. Kendall went into the kitchen. The girls finish eating and left to go play in their rooms. Kendall took the dishes and started washing them. He took the knife that had peanut butter on it and wash it. Kendall dries the dishes and put them back in order. Kendall like order. It calms him. He went to the girl's room. Hey girls, you need to get dress. The guests will be arriving soon. Ok papa Melody said. Will they bring present for me said Carly? Kendall brushes the hair out of Carly eyes, sure sweetie. Now let's get you into something nice. No, melody lets were a dress, we want to look nice for the guest said Kendall. Kendall was brushing Carly hair when he heard a knock. Ok girls play nice while I get the guests settle. He went to the door and open it. Hello Kendall said Betty. Where can I set up? Right this way. Kendall led Betty to the kitchen. Betty looks around and said ok, let's get this party started. Samuel and Marcus and several others started bringing in the food. Kendall mention that he set up tables outside for the guest to eat.

Betty went out the back and look around ok I can work with this. Marcus let's get the tablecloths out of the trunk. Betty and her crew begin to transform the backyard into a birthday celebration. They strung lights with paper Mache balloons. They decorated the table with balloons and streamers. They even set up a place for one of Betty favorite bands to play. Kendall wander outside. He didn't even recognize his backyard. Kendall went up to Betty and said you thought of everything. Thank you said Kendall. Betty smiles my pleasure. Now why don't you invite the guests in.
