Meanwhile Dani was getting restless where is he I told him to come. What's taking him so long. she mutter. I'm going to Kendall's work and see if I can find him, she told her dad. When she pulled up to the theater, Dani found that it was closed. That's odd she mutters he told me he was working today. Where is he? Dani drove home thinking Kendall might be there to change. She drove up to the house and notice his car wasn't there. Dani droves back to her mother place. She went into the kitchen where her mother was preparing dinner. Hey sis, where Kendall, I guess he not coming chide her younger sister Marv. You just shut up Dani said, he promises me. He'll be here. Marv was dating Steward and he was in the living room chatting with her dad. Her dad was rocking Melody who was sucking her thumb watching everyone. He'll come you see. Dani said to herself. The day wore on. The table set and the turkey done, prep, ready to eat. There was no sign of Kendall. Little Melody was fast asleep. Dani put her down in her old room. She quietly left and went to the dining room where everyone was chatting and laughing at Steward joke. They all sat down at the table, Dani glance at the empty plate and grew angrier and angrier. Why wasn't he here? I told him to come. Dani stood up to get the drinks for everyone and wasn't prepare for the sharp pain that follow. The pitcher drops from her hands as she collapsed in agonizing pain. Her mom yelling at her what wrong honey, while she yelled to her husband to call for an ambulance. It's too soon thought Dani. Not yet, she thought as the pain overtook her. Dani thought where is my husband.

They rush Dani to the hospital. Dani's Mom stays to watch Melody. Marv and Dani's dad race feverish to the hospital. Where is Kendall Marv asking her dad. I don't know, he replies. They reach the hospital parked and rush inside. Marv said to the nurse, can I barrow your phone? I need to call Kendall and tell him his wife is here at the hospital. The nurse replies Oh Kendall, I saw him a while ago he was visiting friends on the third floor. Marv was astonished. Oh, she said. She told her dad to go wait for Dani and she'll be right back.

Marv took the elevator to the third floor and as it open came face to face with Kendall. He was surprised and puzzle at the scowl on Marv face. What up Marv, Kendall said.

She pushes him aside. You have no right you selfish bastard she ranted. Whoa Marv why are you so mad. Mad she yelled. You miss Thanksgiving to go galloping with friends. You stress out Dani so much that she in the hospital right now.

Kendall grasp Marv hands and asked where. Where is Dani and what happen. Oh, now your concern. Marv smirked. Kendall quietly said, I had something very important come up at work. You know I would have been at dinner if it wasn't so important. Now where's my wife. Kendall wife was on the same floor that his friends were. She was in labor. Kendall quickly found his wife doctor. It's too soon. Is Dani, ok? Kendall asked. Your wife went into early labor both the baby and the mama are stress. If we can't lower their blood pressure, we will have to deliver the baby to save them both. Kendall thanks him and the doctor left to tend to his patient. Now it was Kendall turn to wander the halls. Marv walk up to Kendall, how is Dani she asked. Not good the Doctor is going to do a c- section and try to save them. Marv look at Kendall worried about her sister. You should have been there for her instead of always working Marv said. Kendall, Hey Kendall. Marv turn to see a distinguish young man approached him. He looks familiar muse Marv. Kendall turned and said to Marv, do you mind keeping an eye on Dani. I'll be right back. Kendall wanders off with that man. Where did I see him from, Marv mused?

Kendall, I have something I must asked you Eden said. I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't extremely important. What said Kendall. Eden looks worry it's something my wife said to me after a friend of hers call and told her something. It seems her uncle is getting anxious. Quietly they talk and Kendall said he would investigate it. Kendall wander back to find Marv dosing. He asks the nurse how everything was going. Soon she said. Later that night the smallest little girl enters this world. She was so tiny laying in the incubator. The doctor told him his wife would recover and the baby girl would take some time.

Kendall went to see his wife. Dani was laying there she looks so tired. Kendall felt bad that he missed dinner. It was a part of him that no one knew. It was his secret that he swore an oath to back when he was in the military. He swore to keep his identity secret tell his very last breath. No one knew who he really was, and no one will. Kendall was afraid that tonight he broke that promise. Kendall put on a smile and got ready to apologies to his very tired wife.

Hey honey said Kendall. I saw her she so precious, I'm sorry I wasn't at dinner. Dani smile. It was hard to be mad at him when he smiles like that. She thought as she drifted off to sleep. He watches her sleep and slip out. He walks down the hallway on his way to see his daughter. She was so tiny precious little thing.

Kendall yelled Eden. Oh, hi said Kendall, he replies what up? Eden was frantic and angry that Carolyn's uncle would send someone. What happen asked Kendall. Just when Eden was to answer, the doctor came running sir your daughter. Kendall looks at Eden with fear in his eyes. Oh no. Go said Eden I'll be here waiting. He quickly follows the doctor. There in the center of the room lay his precious daughter with the nurses surrounding her. The beep of the monitor was all you heard. The doctor mention to Kendall, she a fighter thought you would want to see her. Later Kendall exit to find Eden pacing back and forth. Eden was so afraid caught up in his world that he didn't' notice the tears watering in Kendall eyes. Hey Eden said, I need to ask you something. Hear me out and quickly he ushers his words. You must tell no one swear that you will take this to your grave said Eden. Kendall looks at his friend how much time do we have he asked. As we speak it is happening. Kendall asked about Carolyn. She knows said Eden. I must speak with her, Kendall said. They walk to the room Carolyn was resting. Kendall entered and went towards Carolyn. She was softly talking to her daughter. Kendall quietly spoke have you heard. Yes, why would he think that this precious angel is a threat to him. I don't know quietly spoke Kendall. I want you to know that I will guard her with my life. Carolyn looks at Kendall tears streaming down her face. She mine and I won't let him take her. Kendall sooth Carolyn. He softly spoke to Carolyn about his precious girl that was born. How tiny she was and how he was saddened by it. Kendall said that Eden and I have come up with a plan. For it to be successful you have to want to do it. Carolyn knew the price of being royal. She knew that the throne came first above all things. Carolyn looks at Kendall, you promise me she'll be safe. Yes, said Kendall. Carolyn looks down at her precious daughter memorizing her every feature of her tiny face. She kisses her forehead and whisper endearments. She looks up at Kendall and nodded. Eden took his daughter and whispered and chanted a prayer from the old ways. He summoned her guardian Harridomous and bound him to her. Eden spoke to him it is your duty to protect her at all costs for the rest of her precious life. He places a kiss on her brow. Whisper the words of  binding and watch as Harridomous intertwine himself with his precious daughter. When he utters the last of the words a mark appeared inside his baby girl's wrist. The mark appears below the wings of a dragon. She was sleeping holding on to his finger. Eden looks at his wife. Carolyn said it's true. She holds the mark of the old one. What is that said Kendall. Eden said the mark represents the power of the dragon. He gave her to his wife to hold. Carlyrose was calming sleeping. He looks at his wife. Ok, here what we must do. That night Eden and Kendall quietly put into motion a secret that no one knew only them. A secret that Kendall took to his grave.
