Perceiving your own voice means perceiving your true self or nature. When you and the sound become one, you don't hear the sound; you are the sound.

Seung Sahn

The vision of being a star.

It started out as a simple request he asked of me. Kendall work at the Academy Theater. He just got back from the war and was slowly integrating back into normal society. There were nights at the theater when the celebrity would hang out and watch the show. It was one night Kendall was introduced to Mr. Anderson. It was a simple question he asked Kendall. He asked Kendall if he would be willing to help him. I'll I had to do was listen and report back to him. Kendall didn't realize at the time what it would cost him when he said yes. If he knew what type of a person Mr. Anderson was, he would of graciously decline. Mr. Anderson offer Kendall something he couldn't refuse- Money. They say everyone has a price that they can be bought for. For Kendall it was money and the vision of being a star. At the time all Kendall did was party, party, party. Meeting great people, lots of celebrity. Listening and reporting to Mr. Anderson. It was one party after another blurring into each other. Kendall did cocktails with Freddy, laugh with Bob, and adore Marylin. The lovely ladies, Audrey, Grace, Marisa. Mia, Deloris, Liz, Mimi, and Nancy. They tantalize him. He enjoys dancing with them especially the young and beautiful Camilla. The stars were dazzling and for a while Kendall believe he was one of them.

Rule#1 Never reveal your true self. No one knew the true Kendall. If they did, they would run away screaming. Kendall was someone that you would never suspect. He was trained to be like that. To everyone he was a friend and that is just how Kendall wanted to be perceived.

The who, what and what ifs went to these parties.Everyone that was importance went and so did Kendall. He made it so he wasinvited to all of them. To them Kendall was a friendly bachelor everyone's friend. Little did they know the real person behind the smile.

But that was the life of Los Angeles. Sleep until noon go to lunch with friends at Frankie's. Party all night at George's. Kendall work very hard at this role he played. He perfected it over time.
