Kendall pulled up to the tailor shop. He got out and look at the boutique shop. It seems it was just the other day he saw Marv car there. He sighs, Kendall look around and enter the tailor shop. Hi, Warren is Mr. Anderson here? I need to have a word with him. Oh yes, he's in the back. Warren said. Kendall walk to the back of the storage room and press a button behind the shelf. A door slid open, and Kendall quietly slip through. He found Mr. Anderson quietly talking to someone, he glances up and notice Kendall. He shook hands and the other person left. Kendall what can I do for you Mr. Anderson asked. Kendall quickly recounted what had happened that afternoon.

Mr. Anderson grew silently still and look at him. He pointed a finger at him. You're an idiot. Did you think that there wouldn't be any coincidence to your actions? Spat Mr. Anderson. You think I wouldn't know what you did, he said. There are rules that we live by. Rules that Can Not Be Broken. Mr. Anderson yelled at him. But you did break the rules, didn't you Kendall. Do you think that you are special that those rules don't apply to you? Mr. Anderson asked. Kendall grew quiet. Mr. Anderson was very angry at him. You broke the rules now you will have to pay the price. Mr. Anderson said. Kendall remains quiet holding his hands behind his back. As if he was at attention and his drill sergeant was yelling at him. Mr. Anderson glare at him. He reached in his drawer and got out his gun. I should shoot you for being an idiot. Now you want me to fix this for you. Is that what you want Kendall? For me to clean up your mess? yelled Mr. Anderson. Kendall reply, I am only telling you what has happen. Mr. Anderson fondle the gun. You know what happens to those who don't follow the rules. Said Mr. Anderson. Kendall stare at him, I do. he quietly said. Mr. Anderson look at Kendall, he was the best agent he ever trained. There are men that must work at being an agent. Then there are the ones like Kendall born to be one. It was in their very nature and why this job attracted them. Mr. Anderson look at his gun. He didn't want to kill Kendall. Kendall was the best. The best he ever trained. Mr. Anderson look up at Kendall. He was looking straight ahead not even looking at the gun he held. There was no fear in his eye. Kendall was a train soldier. Mr. Anderson sigh and put the gun back in the drawer. He got out a pencil and paper and shove it at him. Mr. Anderson look him in the eye, give me the list Kendall, I know you have it. Kendall knew what he was talking about. Mr. Anderson wanted him to betray his friends. Ever since the war ended Kendall has intertwined himself with the Hollywood stars, producers, actor, actress. He dines with them, party with them and he knew all about Hollywood. George, Frank, and Bob their wives and many others he had grown to befriend them over the years. They trusted him and now Mr. Anderson wanted him to betray their trust. The last time he betrays his friend, he died. Kendall hesitated. Mr. Anderson yelled at him then go back home and let the assassin kill you and your family. Mr. Anderson shove the paper and pencil at Kendall and spat write it down. Every last name. Kendall sat down at the desk and wrote a list of names that were affiliated with communist sympathizer. He knew that he was writing their doom. I guess the party is over Kendall thought. Rule #5 Never take anything for granted. He had forgotten why he was chosen to get close to the Hollywood stars. It wasn't to become one of them, to befriend them, it was always to betray them. With a sigh Kendall finish writing down the names. He folded the paper in half, stood up and handed it to Mr. Anderson. Mr. Anderson took it and told Kendall; he must leave Los Angeles for good.

Leave said Kendall. What about Dani and the girls.

Collateral damage Mr. Anderson responded. Kendall was shocked. Kendall argues with Mr. Anderson, you wanted me to blend in to get marry and now you're telling me to walk away. Mr. Anderson glare at him, you are trained to do just that. We can't jeopardize the mission because of your feelings. I gave him my word Kendall exclaimed. That you did mutter Mr. Anderson. He looks at him, sigh Kendall was one of his finest agents. They were rare, the ones that were born to be an agent. He would hate to lose him, but the situation was turning for the worst. If the assassin kills him and his family, word will get out. Everything they work for would be lost. The Hollywood communist sympathizers would be lost to him. Mr. Anderson look at Kendall and asked, how well is your Russian? Very well Kendall said, why? Mr. Anderson said. I know a way out of this mess, that you made. You should have never gotten involved. Your decision to Eden can cost you your life if you are not careful. What is the first rule of engagement that is drill into you Kendall? Mr. Anderson demanded, Well What is it? He was getting mad again and Kendall didn't want to be on the outcome of his wrath. Or have him pulled that gun out again.

Well Kendall? Rule #8 don't get personally involved. Kendall mutter. That's Damn Right. You need to detach yourself. Kendall shook his head. I can't jeopardize the girls. Mr. Anderson look at Kendall. Then one day you might just have to do that. Do what? Kendall asked. Walk away Mr. Anderson said. He walks over to his desk and sat down. I have something that you can do but it will cost you everything. Slowing so that Kendall understood the gravity of the situation he told him what he had to do.

Kendall argue does it have to come down to that? Mr. Anderson glare at him and spoke. It's either this or let that assassin kill you. He will find out that what you promise cannot be fulfilled. Then what, you think he going to renegotiate with you? Get on that plane Kendall, you don't have a choice. yelled Mr. Anderson. You'll be notify of your mission upon arrival. Said Mr. Anderson. Kendall took the papers and left. He had 24 hours to leave hopefully it was enough time. He walks out of the tailor shop and got in his car. Kendall sat there and pounded his fists on the steering wheel why why he cries? Why did it have to come to this? Kendall was saddened that it had to come down to this. He will miss his friends and knew nothing will ever be the same. He knew what Mr. Anderson was going to do with the list. Kendall didn't want to be around to see the betrayal on his friends faces. Kendall knew what he had to do. He planned for this. Kendall just didn't think it would happen. Kendall thought of his life here as he drove away.
