It was Wednesday Kendall was working monitoring the theater. Kendall was watching the cashiers as they counted the money from last night opening of the latest movie. The door open and Sam said, Hey Kendall, there someone who wants to meet with you. Ok said Kendall. He nodded to Sam, take over I'll be right back. Ok, I put the person in your office said Sam. Ok, Kendall said, I'll be right there. He clamors up the stairs wondering who it was. As he opens the door to his office, he saw who it was, he quickly closed it. Mr. Anderson in a dark navy suit with a crisp shirt and shiny shoes was sitting waiting for him. He was always meticulous dress. He demands the same in his agents. Kendall quietly shuts the door and asked why you are here? It didn't sit well with Kendall. You are not supposed to meet me at my place of employment, Kendall mutter. Kendall didn't like the look Mr. Anderson gave him. He knew it was bad. Mr. Anderson stood up and reply I'm sorry there was no time. I receive information about Eden and Carolyn. This is urgent and must be done quickly said Mr. Anderson. He gave Kendall the envelope and left. Kendall look inside and wish he hadn't. He now knew why the spy was here in Los Angeles. He now knew the why. Why he was to gain the trust of Eden ant Carolyn. It been years that he befriended them. Why now? This was unprecedented. Why would someone do this? Kendall grabs his suit jacket. Putting it on he looks at the calendar. Kendall notice that today was Thursday, Thanksgiving. He will just have to be late for dinner, he mused. This is too important. Kendall left to go to Eden and Carolyn house.

Eden and Carolyn lived closed to George and Betty in Homely. Kendall drove through the gate. As he pulled up to their house, he realize that the cars were missing. Kendall knock on the door. The maid answer, I'm sorry sir no one is home she said. As the maid was closing the door Kendall put his foot forward preventing it from closing. Wait he said, where is Carolyn? I have something important to tell her. Said Kendall. She not here the maid said. I know said Kendell you just told me that. Listen I'm a good friend of Eden and Carolyn. I have something important to tell them. Do you know where they are? Kendall asked. He was getting exasperated at the maid. He was running out of time and need to find them quickly.

Oh, said the maid, in that case Carolyn is at the hospital giving birth. Oh, exclaimed Kendall, thank you he said. Kendall ran to his car. He needs to hurry. Hopefully he was in time.

Kendall entered the hospital. It didn't cross his mind that his wife was waiting for him at her parents' house. It was Thanksgiving after all. He asked what floor, but no one would tell him. Kendall ran into a doctor who he met at a party. Hey Stan, can you tell me where my friend Carolyn is. Sure thing, Kendall let me check.

With the information in hand Kendall quickly runs up the stairs no time for an elevator. He found Eden pacing back and forth waiting for news of his wife. Kendall reaches him and ask what going on. Eden smile and shook Kendall hand and said were having a baby. Congratulations Kendall said. Kendall now understood the why. He didn't know why they were so interested in them. But he now knew the why they were here. But what he had to tell Eden frighted him to the core. Kendall was frightened for Carolyn and the little one she was bringing into this world. Kendall took Eden arm. Walk with me I have something important to tell you. Kendall knew that he was breaking rule#1. But a life was at stake. Mr. Anderson will understand he thought.

He walked with Eden and told him what he had found out and who he was. Eden was furious not at Kendall but at the audacity that Carolyn's brother Artie would go to. He argues with Kendall. Why is Carolyn's brother being threaten? Kendall didn't know but swear he would find out. Kendall stress to Eden not to reveal who he was. Eden swore on his birthplace not to revel. Kendall knew that he broken rule #1. The rule was ingrained into him since training. Kendall knew that this was too important. Lives were at stake. Kendall also told Eden to be on the lookout for someone that would want to bring harm to them. Kendall said you don't know how far Carolyn's brother will go to secure the throne. If he feels threaten, then he might get volatile.

The nurse came running, sir, come its time. Kendall turns and follow the nurse.
