Die With Me

And we ran.
We didn't care about anything else in the world at that time, we were into ourselves and having the time of our life.  Trust me, you and the others missed it by not waiting for us! We looked at each other and panted, "let's die right here!" He said, "We're already in heaven, what are you talking about?" I replied, smiling.
                                                                                   5 Minutes Later
"Where even were you guys?" Anli asked as we reached their side and went back on our knees. "Man, this is the best trip OR birthday eve I have ever had or will." He laughed, looking down. Anki gave us both a perplexed look. "Are you in your mind right now?" She asked, "You were literally protesting against this trip like 10 minutes ago!" She exclaimed. You started to smile at me, like you were peeking at us all that time, knowing everything that happened down there. "A pro at manipulating, aren't you?" Folding your arms you guffawed, looking at me. "What? I did not do a thing!" I dropped my arms in an act. "Oh mate, everybody knows what you did and not!" She continued in a sarcastic tone. My life had been changed, shuffled. Fully.

"Guys, look!" Anli started jumping, exclaiming. "A shooting star! MAKE YOUR WISHES! QUICK!" We made eye contact before she closed her eyes but I continued to look at her, at her hopeful self. It made me boost my confidence and blew away all my sorrow just like some dust on a decrepit piece of furniture. "Has it ever worked for you? The shooting star?" I asked as she opened her eyes, forgetting to wish for myself. I looked at her the whole time she had her eyes closed. "I don't know. Maybe. At last, I'm Eiko Anli, I tend to believe in deceptions like those. And what's bad about believing in something which could actually help you get over your problems? I can't find any don'ts about it. I think all of us should believe in something we actually can. Which could make us possibly happy, a hope to live our lives to the fullest. A human has to die someday, so why not die a cool death? I don't wanna lie on the bed and cough all day! I wanna climb mountains! Cross seas! Go beyond my limits and die happily. But I'll have to drag you with me! Because the 'dying happy' part won't be finished until... you guys are there with me in my last moments. Die with me, will ya?"

Second-time Anli said something useful. Learning something new which could at least prevent suicide. We could actually kill each other and fight up there too! That would be fun!

Everyone went zipped-mouth. Affected by her small talk."That was a pretty decent speech, wasn't it?" She asked me to break the ice. "You're improving rapidly. Still not better than me though!"

"Agreed, with all my tears." Akira improvised. "See! I knew what you did down there, made him cry when he's so close to his birthday!"

"Do you wanna stay here on his birthday? I hold no problems if you do, you can even take Akira along your side!" "I'm not staying by her side, sitting here like some 80-year-old. I'm gonna reach to the top before any of you do!" I began to run as Akira started to chase me, leaving Anli behind. "You're not going ahead me!" She shouted as she came by our side. "Hey! I'm slow! WAIT FOR ME, YOU DEVILS! WAIT FOR ME OR MY SHOE WILL REACH YOU FIRST!" You shouted, distantly as we three surpassed you. But we ignored it as never heard. Of course, you were not dumb enough to actually throw your shoe toward us. It would have missed us and you would have had to walk to the shoe without it.

We continued to run, looking at the dotted, night sky. Like some child spilled white colour on their painting. We were about to reach the best spot we had ever seen in our lives. I was running for almost 10 minutes, but I did not feel a single drop of sweat in my body. Not a part of me was tired. I knew how you had been feeling this whole time. The curiosity to get to the top, to witness the view from up there. The urge to just scream all the way and get to the top before anybody else could. To witness the beauty for the first time, before anybody else could. No. I had felt that feeling before.
