"Look, he's coming to play with us again!" Ageda shouted while the young me sprinted towards him and the others, wanting to play with them. "Can I play with you guys?"
"Of course, NOT. Have we ever let you play with us? Why do you come with hope every time, trying to fit with us?" I walked away, without saying a word. Ageda and his friends never let me play with them, well not because of the age gap or something, they just had some personal grudge towards me. But I didn't quit, (I don't get why I did not). I went to the park every day, hoping that they would let me play that one time. And well, guess what? It did not work. They didn't let me play with them and now when I look back at it, I feel like they saw me as a lonely nerd. Well, I will of course act like I am not one.
I was never the extrovert, active, talking to everyone kid. Well, I don't think you could have guessed this but, Anli was also mostly rude to me. Throwing a banana peel to tripping me with her leg, she was really interested in making me fall in VARIOUS ways. (I don't know why she was so interested in specifically that).
Until that one day, when she made me fall. To my surprise, Gorou Senpai saw that and actually reproached her, I did nothing but stand there for a while and then went away without saying anything, was pretty sure she will hate me even more.
A few days passed, she did not do anything, and then started to be nice to me, which was pretty weird (still is) and I was actually confused (I still am). And my mom seeing that sight, told her to keep A CHECK ON ME. I hated that decision of her like anything, because Anli trying to get close to me, got really clingy, and by that I mean, really clingy. She would barge into my place whenever she feels like, ugh reminds me of somebody. After inheriting the title of being my "best friend", she would be with me all the time, every evening we would go to get ice-cream. And well, she would beat AGEDA up whenever he tried to trouble me. I guess I changed her personality, I'm happy if I was successful even a little bit.
And then came Akira, he was always the cheerful, music lover guy that every girl had their mind on. But he did not care about anything else than music. He would listen to music all day, and well it caused some accidents too. Seeing all those tropes of his, who could even think he would be my "actual" best friend, well I couldn't. He never hated me or Anli, but we did not really talk on a daily basis.
It was an evening me and Anli were taking a walk, after a few minutes, I went to the park and sat on the bench, tired, and Anli went to get us ice-cream. When she came back, well partly with the ice-cream. She had ice-cream all over her face and Akira was coming with her. From her perspective what happened was, as she was just getting the ice-cream from the parlour, Akira crashed into her with his bicycle. And what happened next was the sight I was experiencing.
I don't really know how it actually happened, but Akira would hang out with us almost every day after that one. We would trouble Riiamu as a make-up for his brother. And uhh... It did not go really well. Riiamu would go and complain about us to Ageda, and that caused more trouble for us, mainly me because as I mentioned before, he had some personal grudge towards me. And the cycle would go on forever. Akira would now actually talk to us, and that too on a daily basis. He would actually care about things other than music. I think I changed Akira, even if a little bit, I am grateful.
And then, I met you. The moment I met you, I was sure that you're the perfect form of yourself, I can't change you, well more like, I don't have to. Well, you had your mind on Akira too like every other girl, it was my fault to love you. Such a failure I am that my first love loves somebody else. Everything I can think about while having you in mind is that you belong to him, and later regret not actually living the moment with you. But I'm grateful for whatever time we spent together. Living in all those moments with you, I realised, I was the one being changed.
"WE'RE GONNA GO TO MOUNT FUJI!" You exclaimed.
