You shivered from the chill that ran down your spine as you woke up.

You weren't sure what the time was and at that moment, you didn't care in the slightest.

Your eyes feel so heavy and despite only waking up a few seconds ago, you can tell that you're coming down with something due to how terrible you feel.

The only thing you want is for Dahyun to hold you as you drift back off to sleep and hopefully wake up feeling better.

But that's the reason you awoke in the first place.

She wasn't there beside you.

She wasn't there holding onto you to keep you warm and make you feel a little better.

You wondered where she could possibly be and how long it's been since she was here in bed next to you.

As much as you didn't want to get out of bed, you needed your girlfriend, so you didn't have much of a choice.

Sitting up, you pushed the blankets off of your lap and swung your legs over the bed.

But before you could get out of bed, you were met with a wave of dizziness and nausea, and your attempt to get up and out of bed made you realize how sore your body was.

You stayed still for a moment and closed your eyes, hoping that it would pass and you could get to Dahyun, wherever she was, and find some security in her embrace.

It took a moment before you felt stable and okay enough to get up completely and make your way toward the door.

Walking downstairs, you heard Dahyun humming in the kitchen and it only made you yearn for her even more.

"Dahyun?" You quietly spoke as you walked into the kitchen.

She stopped humming when she heard your voice and turned her head, looking at you with a small smile before telling you good morning.

"I woke up and you weren't there."

She let out a deep sigh as if she felt a little irritated by those words, and it made you freeze on your feet.

"Yeah, well, it's ten o'clock. I wanted to get out of bed and get some breakfast. I didn't think that was such a huge deal."

"It isn't." You mumbled.

"Then why are you making a big deal out of it?" She asked as she turned to look at you again. "How about you just tell me good morning or something instead of saying that I wasn't there when you opened your eyes?"

"I wasn't making a big deal out of it." You said as you stood there feeling confused and surprised over why she was so upset with you.

"You are because you're clingy! It annoys the hell out of me sometimes. I need some space sometimes. It's hard to get when you want me to hold you all the time."

Her words stung and especially now when you feel so sick and so terrible and you need her to hold onto you.

"I'm sorry." You said.

But all you got in return was silence.

"Babe, I promise I'm not trying to annoy you or be too clingy. I never want that. I just love you a lot and I feel safe with you."

She continued to stay silent.

And after a few seconds, you realized that she was giving you the silent treatment.

"You're ignoring me?"

You watched as she ate the last few bites of her breakfast before placing her dish in the sink, leaving you with a rush of sadness as she started to walk toward the living room.

"Dahyun, please don't go. I feel really sick."

The words weren't so much what caught her attention but rather the way you said them.

You seemed tearful and anxious about her walking away and when she turned around, she saw just how miserable you looked.

"I woke up feeling sick to my stomach. I'm dizzy and I think I might throw up."

She tried to think of what to say to make things better as she wished that she could somehow take the words back.

The damage had been done though and if you didn't feel so sick and you didn't need her as bad as you do right now, you'd surely go upstairs and slam the door and wait for her to come up and beg for your forgiveness.

"Do you have a fever?" She asked as she placed her hand on your forehead.

Your skin felt warm and clammy against her hand and she frowned as it sank in that she had said things so hurtful, things she didn't even mean, when you already feel bad enough.

"Yeah, you're running a fever." She said. "We need to get you back to bed. Let me get you some water first."

She went to the fridge and grabbed a cold bottle of water before she returned to your side.

She guided you out of the kitchen and up the stairs and then up to your shared room.

"I'm still mad at you. Don't think I'm not just because I'm sick and don't want to be alone." You mumbled as you sat down.

"I believe you." She chuckled quietly. "I know you're mad. I'm mad at myself, too. I don't know why I said the things I said. I've just had a rough week and needed some time for myself. That doesn't mean you're too clingy or anything, I just needed some me time."

"I understand." You said as she began to brush her fingers against your arm. "You can just tell me that instead of being mean."

"I know. I'm sorry." She said as she looked into your tired eyes. "Let's talk more about it when you feel better. For now, let me take care of you."

You nodded and took a few sips of water before laying down.

"I'm cold." You mumbled and Dahyun quickly tucked you in under the blankets. "Please lay with me."

She sent you a sad smile before she crawled into bed next to you.

Kissing your cheek softly, she watched as you closed your eyes and started to fall back asleep.

"I love you so much and I'm truly so sorry, baby. I'm going to take care of you. I'll make you feel better."

"Thank you." You mumbled sleepily. "I love you too."

Putting your head on her shoulder, you fell back asleep as Dahyun carefully held you in her arms, hoping that you believed her when she said that she hadn't meant what she said and that you'd feel much better soon.
