"It's so pretty out here. So peaceful and quiet." Dahyun spoke in awe as she watched the waves crash on the shore. "It's so nice to have some time with you, doing things like this."

"I knew you'd like it." You said as you reached into the now-empty picnic basket, quickly grabbing the small velvet box that held something special for Dahyun.

You opened it to make sure the ring you picked out with Jeongyeon's help was still inside and once you saw that it was, you held it behind your back with one hand and reached out for one of Dahyun's with the other.

"I thought it was the perfect way to spend our evening together."

"It is. I'm so happy. Thank you, my love." She grinned before kissing your cheek.

"Can you believe in just a couple of weeks, we'll be celebrating two years together? Two beautiful, happy years. I can't even put into words how much better my life has become since you came into it and how I feel like I've become a better person during this time as well."

She listened closely, her eyes on you as every word fell from your lips.

"I feel the same way, baby. It's been magical."

"You still want to spend the rest of our lives together, right? We talked about that a few weeks ago and you said, when you thought about the future, you knew you wanted to spend every second of whatever happens in life with me."

"Oh, yes, sweet girl." She quickly answered. "I still want that. More than anything."

"Me too." You said as your heart began to pound and your hands began to shake.

Dahyun was quick to notice how your hand that was wrapped in hers was shaking, as though you felt nervous about something. This made her worry.

"Baby, what's going on?"

You took a deep breath before looking at her, swearing that you've never seen anything or anyone as beautiful as the girl in front of you, and you know that feeling will never change.

"I thought about doing this on our anniversary night but the more I thought about this, the more impatient and excited I felt and I had to do it today."

"Do what, baby?"

You pulled the velvet box out from behind your back and dropped her hand to open it.

When you did so, she saw the ring inside, and she couldn't help the gasp that fell from her lips.

"Y/N... that's beautiful." She whispered and parted her lips once more to speak again, only to watch you get on one knee.

It wasn't the most comfortable considering your knee sank in the sand a bit but once you saw the grin on her face, you knew this moment was perfect nonetheless.

"I wanted to bring you out to the beach tonight to do this. Not just for a sweet picnic on the beach while we watch the sunset, but because I can't wait another minute to ask you to be my wife and I thought this would be a romantic way to do it."

She shook her head with a chuckle as tears welled up in her eyes.

"Dahyun, you're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you more than anything in the world and I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side. I want to marry you. I want you to be my wife and I want to be yours forever. Will you marry me?"

She sniffled before nodding her head quickly.

"Yes!"

She pulled you into her arms and you rubbed her back as you both let out a couple of tears of joy, swearing that this moment was even more perfect and more romantic than either of you ever imagined it would be.

"You know I'd say yes a million times." She smiled as she pulled away from the hug, giving you a few sweet pecks on your lips. "I love you so much."

You took her hand and gave it a sweet kiss before putting the ring on her finger.

"I love you more, baby." You said and shared a few long, loving kisses together as the sun started to set, both of you happier than ever and more excited for the future than you've ever been before.
