she falls asleep on your lap

You could tell she was utterly exhausted as soon as she walked through the door. Her eyes were heavy and tired, her shoulders were slumped and she let out a long sigh as soon as the door was closed.

You understood why she felt so tired. With a very early start to the morning, the evening had already come around and she's been busy all day long until now.

But as tired as she felt, when you spoke her name, she still smiled over at you.

"Dahyun? Are you alright?" You asked, putting your phone aside before standing up to walk over to her. You wrapped her in your safe arms right away and she felt her heart start to swell, filling with love.

"I'm okay. Just a long day." She said and let her cheek rest comfortably on your shoulder for a second before you shrugged it, making her lift her head and gaze at you with furrowed brows.

"You look so tired." You mumbled as you laid your hands gently on her cheeks. "Why don't you come sit with me? I was just about to turn on your favorite show, anyway."

That made her eyes light up. She nodded and let you take her hand but before you even took a step, she was bringing your hand up to her lips to lay a few little kisses there.

Butterflies filled your chest at the feeling of her lips on your skin. You gave her hand a squeeze and then went back to the sofa. You sat down first and then patted your lap.

"Lay here."

"Okay." She said and sat down before laying her head on your lap and stretching out her legs. She breathed out a sigh of relief, feeling all the discomfort and stresses the day had held just fade away completely as a feeling of security and comfort came over her.

"I know you're tired, but there's not a doubt in my mind that you did absolutely wonderful today."

She gazed up at you happily. "Thanks." She said and reached a hand up to hook her fingers under your chin and gently pull you down for a kiss.

Everything felt blissful as she kissed you. From the way your lips moved against hers ever so softly to the mint on your breath that fell against her lips. She had no plans on pulling away, finding indescribable happiness and comfort in your kisses.

However, you started to brush your fingers through her hair and she let out a soft sigh and pulled back. A smile appeared on her lips and her tired eyes closed as your touch began to relax her.

"I know you're tired. Just relax."

"But I want to spend some time with you. I'm home a little earlier, we should spend some time together." She said and though she was trying not to, she was obviously drifting off to sleep.

Because as much as she meant every word she said and she'd love to spend some much-needed time with you, it's hard to fight how tired she feels when you're bringing her so much comfort.

"There's plenty of time left in the day. Still hours to go. You just relax now."

She only nodded her head weakly and let a hum fall from her lips when you leaned down to brush your lips along her forehead.

"Love you, Dahyun. Sleep well."

"I love you more," she whispered, quickly falling asleep on your lap.
