"So, I've been doing some thinking," Dahyun spoke quietly as she sat down beside you in bed, being careful as the mattress dipped under her because of your little girl laying on your chest.

"What about?" You asked, smiling a little as Dahyun rubbed your arm with her fingertips.

"We should have a date night! I think it'd be so much fun! It'd be our first one in so long and I want to treat you to something special."

As much as the idea of a date night out with Dahyun excited you, you were hesitant.

"But what about the baby?"

"What about her, my love?" Dahyun chuckled. "We've got family and friends that would be so willing to watch her, the girls would be so excited. We've got a lot of people willing to spend some time with and take care of her while we go out."

You bit your lip as you stared down at your daughter while Dahyun continued to excitedly ramble about going out.

"You don't have to dress up but if you want to, we could get you something."

"I don't think so, Dahyun." You sighed and watched her frown.

"What? Why not, babe? It'll be fun."

"Maybe for you." You mumbled under your breath as you slowly started to get up, planning to carry your little girl across the room to her crib.

"You don't want to have a date night?" She frowned again, a sad smile now on her face.

"It's not that I don't want to..." you sighed as you gently laid the baby down before returning to bed with Dahyun's help.

"Then what is it? Tell me so I can help."

She took your hands into hers and gave them a comforting squeeze.

"I just don't feel like myself these days. I know that it's normal to gain weight when you're pregnant, of course. But it's been three weeks and I feel like I haven't lost any of it yet. I don't feel good enough. If I go out, if people see me, I don't want to know what they'd think or say about me."

"What?" Dahyun whispered in shock, almost unable to believe what she was hearing. "Baby, you're beautiful. You're beautiful just the way you are."

"But I still have the baby weight," you whispered and stared at her with tears in your eyes.

"So? Baby, your body is perfect. Yes, it changed when you were pregnant. But whoever said that was a bad thing? I think it's gorgeous."

"You do?"

"Yes." She said, squeezing your hands again. "Look at your body the way I do - you carried our little girl in there for nine months. You let them grow. You kept them warm and safe. And you brought them into the world. Your body changed, but I think those changes are beautiful. I think your body is beautiful. I think you, everything about you, is beautiful."

"Thank you." You sniffled as she stroked your cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too." She smiled before kissing your lips a few times. "Tell you what - instead of a date night out, we'll do a date night in. We'll order some food, watch some movies, and anything else you want."

"I like that idea. We can go out in a few weeks, but I think we should spend one in first. Besides, I'm not quite ready to leave the baby yet."

She giggled and pecked your lips a few times before she pulled you close.

"I figured," she chuckled. "And that's fine. We'll have one in for now. I just want to spend some time with you and for you to be happy. If you're not quite ready to go out for date night, we'll spend it in. And please don't ever forget how beautiful you are."

You smiled as you put your head on her chest.

"How could I ever forget when I've got you to remind me all the time?"

She giggled and held you a little tighter, happy to see you were feeling better.
