she wants your attention

"This film is so boring," Dahyun mumbled before turning it off.

Turning to look at you, she saw you still sat in the same position you were when she looked back at you only a few minutes before. Your book was still in your lap, you were still absentmindedly chewing on the skin of your lip, still lost in the story you seem to absolutely love.

"Hey, cutie. Still reading, I see?" She teased as she dropped the remote and scooted closer to you. She dropped her head to your shoulder and reached her hand out to tuck a lock of hair behind your ear. "It's like you don't even know that I exist." She giggled, thinking you'd crack a smile or turn to look at her. But you didn't even bat an eye; too entranced in your story to focus on anything else.

Dahyun can't deny that she finds it absolutely adorable how much you love to read. You're quite the bookworm and she adores that about you. But today was no ordinary day. It was her day off. Her first in weeks and her only one for the next one or two to come.

She didn't want to force you to spend time away from your book if you were so in love with the escapism and the entirely different world it takes you to. But she was desperate for your attention, for your kisses, and for your laugh to fill her heart with love and joy.

"Baby?" She whispered as she gently stroked your temple with her fingertip. But you didn't look her way and she found herself becoming impatient. "Y/n," she whined, tapping your thigh then poking your ribs until you finally tore your gaze away from the pages of your book and into her eyes.

"Yes, Dahyun?"

"I miss you."

"I'm right here." You chuckled.

"But you're not paying attention to me. You've been busy reading. I tried to occupy myself with a movie but it sucked."

You giggled and your chest filled with butterflies when she dropped her head onto your lap and pouted.

"Okay, cutie." You mumbled and, excitedly, she reached up and took the book from your hands.

But she was careful as your fingertips slipped away from the pages. She didn't let the pages turn at all and she even bookmarked it for you before pushing it aside and sending you that beautiful smile of hers that you love so much.

"What do you wanna do?"

She hooked her fingers under your chin and pulled you down for a kiss. Your lips locked, your fingers gently falling to her cheek in response. Her lips moved passionately against yours making a soft sigh fall from your lips.

She bit her lip as she pulled away. Only for a moment and only to say, "Just this, baby," before pushing her lips back onto yours, leaving you breathless and with a flutter in your heart as you cherished every kiss you shared.
