Part 2:
Chapter 22 –
September 18th, 1976
Lia ran her hands through the sandy blonde hair beside her, fixing the unruliness of it and tucking strands behind Remus' ear. She moaned slightly as Remus spoon fed her some yogurt parfait, her hands falling to her sides. She wasn't sure what he put in it, but Lia deducted that he made the best yogurts.
"Sometimes I think that you two would make a cute couple," Lily pointed out, taking a bite of the eggs in front of her.
Lia nervously glanced towards Remus, his own eyes flying across the room.
"I don't think so, how about you Lia?" Remus asked.
Lia nodded hurriedly, hoping that they could divert the conversation off of themselves.
"No, me neither, we're too much alike," Lia agreed, glancing up quickly at the boy across from her.
Sirius stared at her and Remus, a confused look on his face as he tried to figure something out in his head. Lia felt guilt fill her, guilt for continuing to lie to him and continuing her activities with Remus. Guilt for being relieved that he wasn't seeing anyone or talking to any girls.
She watched as Sirius shook his head as if whatever he was thinking was ridiculous and she turned her own head back to Lily before he could notice her eyes on him.
"Whatever you guys say," Lily nonchalantly said, scanning the room for the rest of their friends.
Lia followed her gaze and saw her brother and Peter enter the dining hall, walking towards their table.
"Did we miss anything this morning?" Peter asked as he took a seat on the other side of Lia.
James took the empty spot beside Lily, as per usual.
"Just Lily pointing out how cute of a couple Remus and Lia would be," Sirius joked, a hint of jealousy in his tone.
Blushing at the implication, she watched as her brothers face darkened.
"Love you Moony," James maliciously chuckled, "but no."
Lia hid a small smirk behind her hand. Little did her brother know that maybe she wasn't dating Remus, but she had done plenty more with him. She realized that she should feel guilty at that, but James was in love with Lily who was like a sister to Lia. Plus, she was her own person who made her own decisions.
"What about me Prongs?" Sirius gloated, pointing towards himself and Lia.
The table laughed at the look on James' face, his head repeatedly shaking no.
"Again, love you Pads," James shivered, "but that's a hell no."
Lia saw Sirius pout in his spot, clearly saddened by his friends' words. She knew that eventually a relationship would happen between the two, when they were both ready. She also knew that her brother would once again have to pull up his big boy panties and get over it.
"Lia can date who she wants James," Lily cooly said towards him, reaching past him for a biscuit.
James looked towards his crush, and if heart eyes could be seen in real life, then Lia deducted that James would have them.
"I'm not saying that Lily flower," James explained, "I hated Preston but didn't say that she couldn't date him. I would just prefer it if she didn't date any of my mates."
It was then slight guilt hit Lia. Sure, she would never actually listen to her brother, but she did feel bad for going after two of his three best friends.
