Part 2:

Chapter 33 –

June 24th, 1977

"I can't believe you got him fired!" Alice shouted as they stepped off the train and on to the platform.

Lia smiled to herself proudly, looking towards her friends as she responded, "It had to be done."

She saw the lot of them shake their heads at her antics, before they all turned to each other to say their goodbyes.

"I'm going to miss you guys," Marlene said, bringing the group in for a hug.

Lily nodded her head in agreement, "our last summer before our final year at Hogwarts," she sighed out.

Lia felt tears gather in her eyes, and using her interlocked hand with Sirius', she wiped his hand across her nose.

"You disgust me," he shivered out, his eyes sending her a teasing glare.

Lia smiled, kissing him on his cheek before hugging all of her friends and securing the plans that they had made for the summer.

"Everyone is coming to Potter Manor for the last week of July, right?" Lia shouted to all of them, noticing their nodded responses.

She felt her brother sidle up beside her, leaning down to whisper in her ear, "make sure Lily wears that bathing suit I like."

Disgusted shiver wracked through her body, and she used her free hand to punch James in the shoulder. She ignored his smirk as she pulled Remus in for a side hug, holding him to her as they walked towards her parents. It was his first holiday not at his house with his parents, and she wanted to make sure he felt as comfortable as possible.

When Octavia, Fleamont, and Mellie came into view, Lia felt Sirius rip his hand out of her own, tucking it behind his back. Rolling her eyes, she quietly sneered, "coward," to him before dragging Remus with her to give her parents a hug.

"Daddy!" She yelled out, wrapping both of her arms around him and loving the feeling she got when he lifted her off the ground.

When he dropped her back on the ground, she watched the smile he had on his face glow, the few frown lines he had only making his face look slightly older.

"How is my baby girl doing?" He asked, his hand running across her cheek lovingly.

Lia nodded her head, "I'm doing okay dad, I promise."

She saw her father's eyes glance towards Sirius quick, and his body instantly stiffened. His hand left her face, and he walked over to the nervous looking boy, standing in front of him without saying a word.

"Dad," Sirius mumbled, his hands twitching with the necklace her gave her, "Fleamont," he cleared his throat, "Mr. Potter," he finally landed on, "I wanted to make sure that you are okay with me dating your daughter before I come home to Potter manor. If not, I understand and I will find a place to live during the summer break."

Lia watched as her father's stony face slightly broke its façade, and she rolled her eyes.

"Enough dad, just tell him it's okay," she ridiculed him.

Her father broke into a laugh at her words, his hands wrapping around Sirius' form and pulling him into a hug.

"Sirius, if I wanted anyone to date my daughter then it would be you," he told the boy.

She saw Sirius smile behind his back and her heart filled with love. She knew that the black-haired boy was nervous to see her parents, since the last time he did he wasn't 'banging their daughter,' as he put it. Sirius saw them all as family, the only family he had, and she couldn't fathom him ever losing it, but she knew her parents loved him as if he was their own and would never turn him away.
