Chapter 47 –

(TRIGGER WARNING: There is non-consentual touching in this chapter. PLEASE read at your own advisory.)

March 8th, 1979

"I can't believe they actually let us on a mission together," Lia noted as her and Sirius walked up the side of a hill in the countryside of London.

Sirius nodded and he held out a hand for her to help her step over the mud pit in front of them. Smiling at him in gratitude, Lia grabbed it and jumped right over, ending up in his arms.

The two stared at each other for a few moments, wishing they were anywhere else than where they were before Lia gave him a quick peck on the lips, pulling away to continue on their track. She noticed the script of her name over his heart as his shirt flipped down due to the wind, and the tattoo of a dog print over hers burned at the reminder of their New Year's Eve decision. After drinking the night away and celebrating her brothers and Lily's engagement, the two decided to make their love as permanent as they both were ready to and got tattoos in the heart of muggle London.

She was going to do the same as him and get his name over her heart, but Sirius decided he wanted to represent his Animagus form on her and instead she got his paw print, representing her love for both him and his animal side. When they woke up sober the next morning both were surprised with their decisions but couldn't help but laugh at the recklessness while their friends scolded them for it.

"Dumbledore only let us," Sirius noted as he kicked a pebble out of the way, "because he knows that we're two of the best fighters and I have a feeling that we'll be getting into a fight today."

Lia frowned at his words and jogged to catch up with his long legs, her breaths coming out in pants despite her training as of late. Her goal after New Year's was to train harder for the war coming and to get into better shape. She was taking it seriously, despite Sirius' chagrin of her leaving the bed at the crack of dawn each morning and was starting to see the results already.

But hills, nobody can remain calm after climbing up a hill.

"Why do you say that?" Lia asked when she finally caught up to him, wrapping her hand around his, "Dumbledore said to just receive whatever information we could find in the house."

Sirius nodded as he placed a hand on her back, directing her through the path in front of her so she wouldn't slip before responding, "it's just a gut feeling sunshine, I may be wrong."

Lia shook her head without thinking in response, her mind understanding what he was feeling. She had a feeling that Dumbledore knew it wouldn't be an easy grab either, remembering how his eyes twinkled before she left. He had told them that he trusted them the most with the information they had to receive, and she was also curious to know what it was.

What was so important to Albus Dumbledore that he would let the two of the biggest troublemakers from Hogwarts, a couple at that, go on a mission together.

"How is wedding planning going for Evans," Sirius changed the conversation as they continued to walk to their destination.

Lia shivered as she remembered how much of a bridezilla Lily had been before she left her house yesterday. Screaming about flower arrangements and wedding colours and yelling at Lia when she had suggested something that was too off tone to the colours she had in mind.

It was a complete nightmare and Lia promised herself that she would never care about any of these things, instead deciding that she wanted a simple wedding with only her closest family and friends when the time came.
