Part 2:

Chapter 31 –

March 1st, 1977

The new couple had spent the past few weeks using every second possible to divulge into each other, basking in the new relationship glow. Lia would pull him into a broom closet in between each class, and Sirius would spend the nights sneaking them into empty classrooms, showing her just how much he missed her at the end of their days.

They had originally agreed to keep it under wraps for a bit, not wanting to startle their friends, especially James. She knew that her girls and Remus had seen them kiss during the ball, but none had mentioned it yet, and Lia was grateful to them for it. Thankfully James had been passed out by then, and dragged to his dorm by Peter, so Lia didn't have to worry about her overprotective brother the next morning as the two of them dragged themselves away from their cocoon.

But as Lia sat there in the dining room hall for breakfast, she realized that she was sick of hiding something that made her so happy. She wanted to whole school to know that Sirius was hers. Even if it meant having to deal with the wrath of James Potter.

She felt a hand grace over the inside of her thigh under her skirt, and she subtly glanced at a grinning Sirius who was nibbling on a piece of toast. Heat filled her at the thought of sneakily doing what she knew they both wanted to do, but she knew that now wasn't the time. She had other plans in mind.

"When are you going to tell us who the girl was that you left with the night of the ball Pads," James asked with his mouth full of food, "you never keep it a secret and it's only making me more curious."

Lia cringed at the thought of all the girls that Sirius had been with. She knew a handful of them, but she also knew that if the rumours were true then the ones she did know about didn't even cover the half of it.

As if seeing her reaction, Sirius glared at James, "Knock it off prongs," he surged.

James held his hands up in defence, his head shaking as he stuffed another grape into his mouth.

Remus turned to the two of them, a smirk on his face, "I was actually wondering the same thing."

Lia sent him a glare, silently promising to kill him if he said another word.

James stood up in his seat, knocking over a plate and causing such a loud sound that half of the hall turned to look at him. Lia saw Lily shake her head at his antics, and James sat down slowly, a little red in the face.

After recovering from his clumsiness, James pointed a finger, "even Moony is curious so fess up."

Lia sent Sirius a quick glance, noticing the calculating look on his face before she turned her attention back to the table. She wasn't sure what his plan was, but she hoped that it was a good one.

"While we're on the topic of the night of the ball," Sirius brought a hand up to his chin, stroking it, "I think that I'm starting to recall something Moony told me you said about a certain someone in your drunken stupor."

Lia watched as James's face reddened, his focus diverting quickly between Lily, Remus and Sirius, panic covering his features.

"You... You asshole Moony!" James screeched, "you promised you wouldn't say a word!"

Remus hid his laugh behind his hand as he tried to get his words out.

"I-I couldn't k-keep it in," he choked out, "It was too bloody h-hilarious!"

Lia leaned forward and she shared a look with Lily, who was also confused. She turned to Sirius, asking him, "what did James say?"

Sirius smirked at her and ignoring the look of death that James gave him, he answered, "Little Prongs over here," Sirius laughed as James tried to reach across the table to cover his mouth, "was talking about Lily and how he, you know, had a special dream about her," he explained.
