Part 2:

Chapter 49 –

May 28th, 1979

"Lils," Lia said before releasing a wolfish whistle, "you look stunning."

And she really did. She wore a beautiful cream dress that tightened around her figure and flowed out slightly after the waist in a semi-mermaid style. The neckline was a heart shape, and her sleeves were made of silk, yet they had hints of mesh in it that was shaped into flowers and showed off her pale skin.

Her red hair was pulled up into a chignon bun with wisps curling around her face and her makeup was done to perfection, channelling the brightness of her hair. Her manicured nails were wrapped around the lilies that she had chosen as the flowers for the wedding, and Lia couldn't help but feel pure happiness for her friend.

Not just because she was marrying her brother and making his dreams come true, but because Lily was her best friend and deserved all the happiness in the world. She had been the first girl to befriend Lia at Hogwarts and the first girl friend that she had ever had in her life. She was used to being around boys, especially when she was younger, and Lily changed that for her.

She became her sister long before James would make her one officially today.

"So do you Lia," Lily told her, walking over to turn Lia towards the mirror, "you make a beautiful maid of honour."

Lia looked up into the mirror and was shocked with what greeted her. Lily had chosen peach as their colour, and it complemented the darkness of her hair perfectly. The styles was form fitting at the top, pushing her breasts up to make them look larger than they did and flayed out at the bottom to wrap around her lower half. She was glad it was strapless due to the heat of the day and the wedding being outside.

But her hair rivaled against it as she decided to keep it down after cutting it shorter during an impulse decision she had a few days ago, only pining the sides back to hold up her bangs while the rest was in loose curls. Her makeup was done naturally with only a peach lip stain standing out, but she looked better than she did the night of the ball in sixth year.

"Wow," Lia whispered at her reflection, "we look hot Lils."

Lia grinned when Lily laughed at her words and she turned around to quickly hug her friend, tears misting her eyes.

"I can't believe I'm getting married," Lily whispered in her ear.

Lia nodded her head in agreement, and she carefully wiped under her eyes, not wanting to ruin the makeup that Marlene had spent hours on.

"And to my brother no less," Lia joked as she pulled back, her hands still holding onto Lily's arms, "are you sure you don't want to back out?"

Lily shook her head, her lips pinching together as Lia noticed a red tint take on her eyes.

"No, I love him Lia," she told her, her hand lifting from Lia's shoulder to dab under her eyes, "and I want to be a part of your family."

Lia smiled softly at her friend, "you've always been a part of our family," she declared.

"Well, we are a sisterhood," Marlene declared, causing the girls to jump a part as she walked into a room with a smile.

Lia couldn't help but admire her dress, the same colour as Lia's but with long sleeves instead of strapless, and the way it formed around her body.

"Is it time?" Lily asked.

Although Lia had originally planned to walk James down the aisle before the start of the wedding, Mellie had kindly asked her if she could take her place instead. Not only would she never say no to the elf, but Lia thought that it would be more fitting as she was more like another parent than anyone else. She had graciously told Mellie that the role was hers and stepped back with a smile on her face as the elf glowed with glee while walking towards James' tent.
