Part 4:

Chapter 9 –

April 30th, 1998

Married life was, well... honestly no different than life before. It was blissful, it made Lia happy, and she loved every inch of Sirius, but it didn't change the way she had always felt for him. She loved that she was officially his and he hers in the eyes of the law, but even without that, she never would have hindered in her feelings with him.

She did admit though, she was starting to love the way he would call her Mrs. Black. He only did it while in the bedroom, and sometimes in front of others, but it had her heart fluttering in such a way that she adored.

Plus, Lia Mellie Black had a ring to it, and she couldn't wait for others to call her it as well.

Over the course of her married life, they had done nothing more than plan and plan and plan. Of course, she ended the night with Sirius between her legs, worshipping each inch of each other, but during the day they made plans for each inch of the journey ahead of the golden trio.

Griphook had relented to helping them in exchange for the sword once he completed his part of the plan, and although Lia had been reluctant, Harry had promised her that he would figure it out. It made her hate the goblin even more, but for them to get into the vault without so much as a hitch, they needed him, and he knew it.

They had arranged each detail to the inch, designing it in case one thing went wrong, but it was now the day they all had to leave the peaceful embrace of Bill and Fleur's cottage, and she had a gut-wrenching feeling in her stomach.

Even though they had Bellatrix's hair for Hermione, the invisibility cloak for Harry and Griphook, and a good disillusionment for Ron, she still couldn't get rid of the feeling in her gut. Add on the fact that Draco was furious he wasn't joining them and instead getting sent to his aunt's house, it was just a crappy day.

It had taken a lot for Remus to agree to that, feeling protective over the family since the birth of his son who Lia couldn't wait to meet one day. Edward Remus Lupin, Teddy for short, was exactly what her friend needed even if he had originally thought differently, and from the fire messages he had sent Lia, she knew that Remus was over the moon about what his life had turned into.

It made her happy, and even happier when he had congratulated her and Sirius on their own news, stating that it took long enough.

"Does everyone understand what they're doing?" Sirius asked around the table, waiting for each of their nods.

Everyone but Draco agreed.

"I understand that I'm getting sent away to Andromeda's shitty fucking cabin when I should be going with these two twats and Granger," Draco drawled, his hand playing with the rings that adorned his fingers.

Hermione swatted him at that but was cut off by Ron.

"I've had to listen to you for the past month Malfoy," Ron gritted out, his hand clutching the table, "I'll surely Avada myself if I have to for another day."

Lia sighed at the fight that was about to ensure and leaned back in her chair until they got their childish antics out.

"My apologies Weasel," Draco said in a bored tone, but it clashed against the narrowing of his eyes, "would you like my wand to assist you with that?"

Ron's glare intensified, "I would like it if you disappeared from our lives with your ferret tail between your legs," he spat.

Lia could tell that his jealousy was showing, as it did for the past few weeks. Hermione had kept her relationship with Draco a secret from both him and Harry and although she could tell Harry was trying his hardest to take it in stride, seeing as Draco was also family, Ron was the complete opposite.
