Part 2:
Chapter 25 –
November 30th, 1976
Lia wrapped her Gryffindor scarf tighter around her neck, cuddling into Lily's side. Marlene and Alice were too busy gaining warmth from their boyfriends and Remus and Peter were at the dorms still. Lia wished that she didn't let them convince her to come, that she stayed to take care of a sickly-looking Remus after a tough full moon last night.
The two boys had told her that they could take care of it and that she needed to go and support James and Sirius in their semi-final game of the quidditch season. She knew that her support would mean everything to her brother and Sirius, but she was bloody cold and beyond worried about her best friend.
"Who needs boys when we have eachother," Lily stated, wrapping her arm around Lia, "right?"
Lia giggled slightly, watching her two other friends narrow their eyes at them.
"Exactly. Boys suck, but girlfriends are forever," Lia sung, kissing Lily on the cheek playfully.
She heard Frank shift from right behind her, his smirking face coming into view of the two.
"I think you'll find yourself changing your mind in a second," he said as he pointed towards the quidditch pitch.
Confused, Lia turned to see where he was pointing, noticing the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams race onto the fields in their gear, James and Sirius leading their pack. Cheers erupted throughout the stands, green and red screaming against each other to show their support. Lia noticed as Sirius flew around the pitch, girls squealing each time he went near them.
He was truly in his glory here, she realized, the fame and attention he received was something that made him feel like the top of the world, and the smile on his face during it all made Lia thankful to the game.
"That is what I thought," Frank taunted, "boys aren't too bad now, huh?"
Marlene and Alice giggled from behind her, reaching forward to pat Lia on the shoulder.
"I can spot a certain boy who isn't too bad looking Lia," Alice piped in, "can you?"
Rolling her eyes, Lia silently agreed that the way the quidditch uniform wrapped around Sirius' tight body made her feel hot, but she would never admit that out loud.
"I'm not too sure what you guys are talking about," Lia fibbed before turning her attention to Lily, "speaking of boys though, doesn't James look quite dashing out there today?"
She watched as Lily's face grew a bright red colour, her mouth opening and closing quickly while sputtering out, "I mean...uhm... I-I guess maybe."
Lia chuckled, laying her head once again on her friend's shoulder, "no need to blush about it Lils. We all know that you now have the hots for James."
She heard Lily sigh from beside her before defensively saying, "I do not have the hots for James Potter. Quite the opposite, actually."
Rolling her eyes at her lies, Lia called her out, "and that is the pot calling the kettle black."
She heard Fabian burst out into laughter from behind her, his head greedily leaning forward to look towards the girls.
"That's a muggle saying right? Merlin, I love muggles," he gushed, his eyes alighting with wonder.
Lily nodded her head towards him, a soft look on her face due to his kindness towards her heritage.
"Yes, I've been teaching Lia some of the muggle phrases. I could teach you some too if you would like Fabian?" She asked.
