Chapter 20

Mac's POV.

"Hi, Mac." Julia greeted me as I smiled at her. Tumingin naman ako kay Joshua habang nakataas yung isa kong kilay. Lumapit naman sya sakin at bahagyang bumulong.

"We're going to have lunch. Kapag tinanong ka kung sasama ka sabihin mo ayaw mo."

Siraulo to ha. Pinagpapalit na ako para lang kay Julia, nagugutom ako kanina pa pero hindi nya ako inaya kumain.

He has set his priorities right.

"We're having lunch, you should come with us." Julia said.

What if sumama ako? Nevermind.

"Kayo nalang. Nag order na ako ng food ko, sayang naman yon." I smiled at her. "Enjoy your lunch." I glanced at Joshua, and kitang-kita ko kung paano lumaki yung ngiti nya.

Umalis na sila at naiwan na ako mag isa dito sa room namin, umalis na din kasi yung mga classmate namin para mag lunch, nagugutom na din ako pero tinatamad ako lumabas at tumayo. I grabbed my phone as I ordered some food.

I'm glad na nagiging close na si Julia and Joshua, I've never even imagine na magiging close yung dalawa na yon. Knowing na, Julia is Janella's best friend which Jane hates the most. Well, para sakin hindi naman talaga sya naiinis sa babae na yon, she's just in denial kaya ganun.

I was about to write something on my notebook when I saw Jane pass by our room. I stood up as I followed her. Balak ko naman talaga syang tawagin kaso nakita ko kung saan sya papunta and guess what.

She's going towards the Council Room. 
And I'm sure, Janella's inside.

Napansin ko din na may hawak syang paper bag. I remembered her texting me earlier that she's going to grab a lunch and yep, just like Joshua she didn't invite me. Nag ooverthink na ako na hindi talaga ako mahal nung mga yon.

I saw her took out her phone as she started texting someone. I saw her face lift up when she saw her phone light up. I also saw her sigh and look down. She looks like disappointed.

Then it hit me.

She was texting Janella.

And that paper bag probability contains food for Janella to eat. Right, Joshua must've texted her, telling her that he was having a lunch together with Julia, leaving Janella alone inside the Council Room.

I sadly smiled as I secretly took a picture of her and texted Janella that Jane was outside the room.

Paalis na sana si Jane nung bumukas yung pinto at bumungad si Janella. I saw how Jane smiled when she saw Janella. I also saw how Janella's gummy smile showed up when Jane look at her.

They were in love.

Of course they were.

I saw how Jane looked at Janella. Kita ko kung paano sya sumasaya everytime na makikita nya si Janella. Alam ko kung paano nya ikwento si Janella sa amin ni Joshua. Kita ko kung paano sya unti-unting nahuhulog kay Janella nang hindi nya alam.

When she was confused, I knew exactly how she felt.

And I know exactly how I felt.

Nasasaktan ako. But who I am?

I know they're special to each other. I'm not blind. I could see how Janella feels about Jane.

The only one who doesn't, is Jane.

I was in love with Janella.

I bitterly chuckled as I started to walk away. "Of course, I was in love." Mahina kong sabi sa sarili ko.
