Chapter 29

Jane's POV.

I'm currently here on the address that Elmo gave me, saying that I needed to meet him. Honestly, at first, I don't want to waste my time talking to someone like him, but then again he said he needed to tell me something.

And that something, involves Maine and Janella.

It kinda scares me, I have a lot of doubt but I need to know what he wanted to tell me about Janella and Maine. Because clearly, no one seems to want to tell me anything.

"Jane, you really came."

I lift my head and saw Elmo taking a seat in front of me. He took a sip from his water as he stared at me.

"Hindi ka nahirapan pumunta dito? It was raining."

I turned my gaze on the glass window as I saw that it was raining. It was almost like a thunderstorm.

This is exactly how was raining when that happened 5 years ago. When I lost my Maine, forever.

I shook my head as I turned my gaze on Elmo. "Be straight to the point already, why did you ask me to meet you?" He shrugged. "Jane, how long do you know Janella?" I raised my one eyebrow as I spoke. "You do not need to know that." I coldly said.

Sinasayang nya lang yung oras ko, dapat talaga hindi na ako pumunta dito. Mukha naman syang walang magandang sasabihin sakin. What do I expect from this jerk? It will all be a lie whatever comes out of his mouth.

"You're wasting my time." Tatayo na sana ako para umalis pero biglang tumunog yung cellphone ko, tinignan ko ito at nakitang tumatawag si Mac. Agad ko naman itong sinagot. "Where are you?" I looked at Elmo as he was looking outside. "I'm with Elmo." Mahina kong sabi.

"Jane, leave. And whatever he tells you, do not believe him. Send me the address, Janella and I will go there." I frowned but I send the address anyway. Mac was about to talk but Elmo grabbed my phone as I glared at him.

"Anong problema mo?" He ended the call as he put my cellphone on the table. "Don't you see? Your friends and family are lying to you. Even Janella." What the hell is this man saying? "Do you even know the family's name who was aquaintance with Maine's family?" I shook my head.

There's too many of them. Maine's family is rich, of course there are many people around them. "Well, let me tell you. Maine and Janella's family were business partners for God knows how long. And Maine and Janella were best friends, including Julia, yes it was the Julia you knew and everyone knew in our school."

They're friends? He already told me that. But their family are business partners?

"Don't you still get it? Si Janella yung kasama ni Maine nung gabi na yon! Janella was the one who killed Maine!" Elmo yelled.

He's lying.

He's fucking lying.

"I don't believe you." I heard him chuckle. "Oh yeah? Why do you think her Father hates you? Ano sa tingin mo yung rason kung bakit hindi nagsampa ng kaso yung pamilya ni Maine laban doon sa nagda-drive nung gabi na yon? Alam mo din ba na nilapitan ka lang ni Janella dahil doon? She did all of that so she could be free from the guilt that she was feeling." He leaned towards me. "She never loves you Jane."

I stood up as I grabbed his collar. I felt my tears fell down. "Don't fucking lie to me."

Hindi magagawa sakin ni Janella yon. Hindi sya magsisinungaling sakin, hindi.

He smirked. "Your friends knows too."

Mac and Joshua knew? Even Gabbi? Now that I think about it, Mac seems nervous when he was talking to me earlier, he even straight up told me to not believe anything that Elmo says.
