Untold Pain

Chapter 5

Jane's POV.

I don't know why she's saying thank you to me. But I'm going to cherish this moment.

Just me holding her hand while she's smiling at me.

Her gummy smile looks cute. This is the smile that I wanted to see everyday. Gusto ko masaya lang sya, I don't want her worrying about other things.

Whenever she's sad I want her to focus on me.

We didn't realize that we've already arrived at our destination if Manong Rex didn't tell us that we have arrived. Agad naman binitawan ni Janella yung kamay ko at dali-daling bumaba sa kotse, I looked at my hands and shook my head as I smiled.

Pagkababa ko ay tumambad naman sakin ang napakasimpleng bahay ngunit sobrang ganda naman. Kung ano yung laki ng bahay nila Janella, maliit naman ito pero sobrang ganda at simple lang tignan parang puno ng positive energy ito at sobrang comfortable mo once you get inside.

Nag doorbell na si Janella at mga ilang minuto lang ay may nagbukas na babaeng matangkad at sa palagay ko ay around 30 years old. Napansin ko din kaagad ang malaking ngiti nya ng makita nya si Janella.

"Love, sino nandyan?"

May lumabas na isa pang babae at napansin ko na medyo gulat din sya nung makita si Janella. Mukhang magkakakilala na sila dito ha, wag sana ako ipa-murder ni Janella sakanila.

"Janella!" Agad naman niyakap ng dalawa si Janella at kumpara kanina kitang-kita ko nanaman yung mga magaganda nyang ngiti na hindi nakakasawang tignan.

"I miss you guys so much." Rinig kong sabi ni Janella sakanilang dalawa. Tumingin naman ako kay Manong Rex at kitang-kita ko ang malaking ngiti nya, I wonder who are these people to Janella.

They pulled out the hug as they smiled at each other. "Manong Rex, you're also here. Namiss ka po namin." Sabi nung babaeng unang sumalubong samin sa pinto kanina. "Opo ma'am Glaiza, sinamahan ko po yung dalawa." Manong Rex said as he smiled. Nabaling naman ang tingin sakin nung dalawang babae at ngumiti habang binibigyan nila ng side glance si Janella.

"Hello, I'm Glaiza and this is my wife Rhian." She offered her hand as I held it and shook hands with her. "I'm Jane. Janella's partner on our project." I softly smiled at them. "Ate Glaiza is my cousin." Janella said as I nodded my head. Kaya naman pala medyo may hawig sila sa unang tingin, hindi naman ako nainform na may pinsan pala tong si Janella and infairness hindi sya mukhang masungit, hindi siguro nagsabay maglihi yung nanay ni Janella sa nanay nito.

"Come on guys, come in." Sabi ni Ate Rhian na amin naman sinunod. Tama lang talaga ang sinabi ko kanina pagpasok mo sa bahay nila ay mararamdaman mo kaagad yung positive energy dito at magiging comfortable ka kaagad.

Meron lang silang mini sala, mga picture frames. Mukhang palagi silang nagta-travel according sa mga picture na nakikita ko. Katulad sa bahay nila Janella mayroon din nakasabit na malaking picture frame, si Ate Rhian at Ate Glaiza, wedding photo nila to.

Saan kaya sila kinasal? Knowing na same sex marriage isn't yet allowed here in the Philippines.

But the one thing that caught my eye is that one picture frame na ultrasound picture ang laman.

Wait a minute.

May baby sila?

I started to looked around and see if there is a little one but I didn't see anyone. Napatingin naman ako kay Ate Rhian at Ate Glaiza na nasa kusina, unless one of them is currently pregnant.

"What are you looking at?"

Muntik ko na masuntok si Janella dahil sa gulat ko, leche naman kasi bakit need bumulong ng sobrang lapit sa tenga ko.

She smirked and scoot closer to me. "Are you nervous right now because of me, De Leon?" She seductively whisper again.

Ako pa talaga ang hinamon ng babaeng to.

I turned around and konting galaw nalang ng isa samin ay magdidikit na yung mga labi namin. She became frozen and it was now my time to smirk.

"Sino ngayon satin ang kinakabahan, Salvador?" I softly said.

We just stared at each other's eyes and I can feel my heart beat faster than usual. I can also see her glance at my lips from time to time.

What if, I kiss her?

"Ah, ehem."

We immediately turn away from each other when we heard someone clear their throat. Nakita ko naman si Ate Rhian yon, kasama nya si Manong Rex at Ate Glaiza na may dalang snacks at juice. Napakamot naman ako sa ulo ko at napangiti sakanila, I took a glance at Janella and saw her looking around. Nice try.

"Bading." I heard Ate Glaiza said that made me and Janella turned our gaze at her.

"What did you say Ate?" Sabi ni Janella using her masungit voice, nakita ko naman na pinipigilan ni Ate Rhian at Manong Rex yung mga tawa nilang nagpupumilit lumabas.

Ate Glaiza shrugged. "What? No, I didn't say anything. May sinabi ba ako Love?" Tanong ni Ate Glaiza kay Ate Rhian, the latter shook her head as she put the snacks on the table, Manong Rex did the same thing. "Wala naman akong narinig na sinabi mo Love." Manong Rex shook his head and look at me, napaiwas naman ako kaagad ng tingin sakanya.

"Oo naman, hindi mo na kailangan tanungin pa. Interview us whenever you like. It is for your project after all." Sabi ni Ate Glaiza. Sinabi na kasi namin sakanila kung ano talaga yung pakay namin kung bakit kami nagpunta sakanila, sinabi namin na kailangan namin para sa project namin and they immediately agreed to it.

Mabait sila parehas, happy go lucky girl is Ate Rhian, napansin ko naman na may pagka-strict si Ate Glaiza pero when it comes to Ate Rhian she's becoming soft. They are married na pala for almost 7years now and I'm honestly happy for them when I heard that.

I also found out that Ate Rhian is 1 month pregnant but I didn't notice it at all.

I saw Ate Glaiza look at Janella and smiled slightly. "Does uncle Marvin knows you're here?"

Janella shook her head. "No, he didn't."

Ate Glaiza and Ate Rhian nodded. "Alright." They smiled at each other.

I don't know pero parang may mali talaga. Janella became nervous and somehow afraid earlier when her father called and right now her father doesn't know that we are here. I mean, they are cousins, why hide it?

Nakita kong tumingin si Manong Rex sa relo nya at agad itong nagsalita. "Ma'am Janella, 4:30pm na po." Tumingin naman ako sa relo ko at nakitang 4:30pm na nga, napasarap yung kwento namin kanina at pagpapaliwanag ng project namin sakanila Ate na nakalimutan na namin yung oras.

Janella immediately stood up as I did the same because I was startled by how she reacted pero parang wala lang sakanila Ate Rhian at Glaiza, tumayo sila ng mahinahon at nagsmile kay Janella.

"You should go home. You need to be home before 6pm." Ate Glaiza said that made me confused, why must she need to go home before six? I mean she's in a legal age, and six is still early, at least for me.

Niyakap nya na yung dalawa at tsaka sinabi kay Manong Rex na ihanda na yung kotse at agad naman iyon sinunod ni Manong Rex. "Babalik nalang kami kapag iinterview-hin na namin kayo Ate Glaiza and Ate Rhian. Bye." She smiled as she immediately walked away.

Magpapaalam na din sana ako ng maunang magsalita sakin si Ate Glaiza.

"Please take care of my cousin." She seriously said.

Napatingin naman ako sakanya at kita ko ang pag aalala nya. "She trusts you. She wouldn't bring you here and to her house if she didn't trust you." Ate Rhian said.

I don't know what's happening behind the Salvador's house door and I don't know what kind of family problems Janella has but one thing is for sure.

I took a deep breath and nodded at them.

"I'll take care of her. Mark my words."
