Untold Pain

Chapter 21

Mac's POV.

I entered the restaurant that Joshua sent me the address. We were going to have a dinner together with Gabbi. It's been years since the last time we saw her and I'm happy that she came back.

Hindi ko lang alam kung paano ako gagalaw tuwing kasama ko si Jane or Janella. I'm keeping the secret to them. But it's for their sake. I'm doing everything to make them happy, I don't want them to ruin each other.

That was the last thing I wanted to see.

Nagulat naman ako nung marinig ko si Gabbi. Jane was telling her about Janella's surname and Gabbi knew who Janella is.

I walked towards their table and grabbed Gabbi before she could say anything. We got out of the restaurant as she started to yell at me.

"Let me go, Mac!" She pulled her hand away as I took a deep breath.

"What do you think you're doing?" Tanong ko sakanya. She stared at me as she sighed.

"Janella was the one who killed Maine." I frowned. "Janella didn't do anything! It wasn't her fault!" I can't help but to shout at her.

Why are they always blaming Janella for something she doesn't have a control over with?

"She killed Maine! If it wasn't for her Maine wouldn't leave that night, she wouldn't got into an accident. She sacrificed herself for the sake of that Janella." I saw how Gabbi's tears fell down.

Gabbi and Maine were good friends. I totally understand where her pain is coming. But blaming Janella for something she didn't do is wrong.

Janella suffered too.

"The only thing that Janella do is to seek comfort to her friend and Maine was there." I took a deep breath. "Maine decided at that moment that she needed to save her friend without hesitation. We're not the only one who was suffering, Gab. Even Janella is suffering, even Julia."

Blaming Janella for everything just doesn't seem right to me. No one knew about Janella's pain. Did someone ever asked her about this? Did someone ever care to ask what she was feeling?

"I need to tell Jane." Pagmamatigas na sabi ni Gabbi. "Gabbi, masaya na si Jane and Janella. Sino ba tayo para pigilan yung kasiyahan na yon?" I held her hand as I stared at her.

"I'm begging you, let them be."

They're the most precious to me. The last thing I want to see is Jane blaming Janella for everything.

"That happiness will eventually brought pain to the two of them."

Gabbi walked away as I sighed. I shook my head as I run to her and grabbed her hand.

"Mac, my decision is final. Jane needs to know the truth, we can't hide it forever." I nodded. "I know that. But give them 3 days." She raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

I slightly smiled. "Give them 3 days." If we're bound to ruin their happiness then at least give them more time. "Gabbi, please."

She pulled her hand as she stared at me. "It was Janella." I raised my eyebrow as I can't understand what she was trying to say.

"You love Janella. Since the very beginning."

Gabbi slightly smiled as she walked away.

The next morning Jane didn't come to school. I don't know the reason why, we've been calling her several times already but she wasn't answering her phone.

I was even more shocked when Gabbi came to our school saying that she transferred here. I don't know what scheme she has in her mind but somehow I trust her that she wouldn't tell Jane about Janella.
