Chapter Twenty Four

Aroon washes his face and looks at himself in the mirror. His eyes looks puffy and red. He didn't want anyone to see him like this but he didn't have any option as he is already in the office. He tries to fix himself as much as possible and comes out of the restroom. Niran was waiting for him outside.

Niran: Okay?

Aroon: Hmm

Niran: Let's get you something to drink.

Aroon: It's okay. We are already late.

Niran: But..

Aroon: Let's go.

Niran reluctantly agrees to Aroon. They walk towards their desks but was stopped midway by Mike, Atid's secretary.

Mike: Mr.Ananada

Aroon: Yes

Mike: Mr.Chanthara would like to meet you.

Aroon: Huh, Grandpa is here.

Mike: No, I mean Mr.Atid Chanthara.

Aroon: Oh,Okay.

Aroon is about to go when Niran holds his hand.

Niran: Will you be okay? Should I come with you?

Aroon: No, it's okay. I can handle it.

Niran: Hmm

Aroon quickly walks towards CEO'S office.

Outside CEO'S office:

Aroon has been standing outside for past 5 minutes, fidgeting with his hands. Every time he try to knock the door, the images of previous night flashes before his eyes. He felt terrified of what is in store for him today. After 5 minutes, he gathered all his courage and knocked on the door.

Atid: Come in.

Aroon walks into the room with his head bent low and eyes closed tight.

Aroon: Sir, you called me.

Atid: Yes, I wanted to talk to you about something important. We both agree that this is a marriage of convenience but there are certain things that we need to keep in mind. This is my office and everyone know that we are getting engaged. So don't go about hugging and proclaiming your love towards other guys while you are here. I don't care what you do or who you are with in your privacy but I will not accept this type of behavior in my working premises while your name is associated with me.

Aroon does not say anything as he was still trying to process Atid's words.

Aroon: I...I...

Atid: Mr.Aroon Ananada, look at me when I am talking to you. I hate people who avoid eye contact.

Aroon still keeps his head down as he is afraid he will breakdown if he look at Atid.

Atid: I SAID, LOOK AT ME.

Aroon flinches on hearing Atid's harsh voice. He slowly raises his head up and looks at Atid who is already looking at with angry fierce eyes. Aroon tried to say something but no sound came from his mouth. He felt his mouth going dry and black spots coming before his eyes. He felt like there is no strength in legs and hands and suddenly his legs gave up and he came down crashing to the floor.

"AROON"

Atid's POV:

Atid is waiting in his cabin, looking at his watch every few seconds. He is getting irritated as it's been 10 minutes since he send PMike to get Aroon but he is still not here. Atid picks his phone to call PMike when he hears a knock on the door.
