Atid has been sitting in his car looking at the sleeping figure next to him. They reached their destination 30 minutes back but he didn't have the heart to wake up the person sleeping so comfortably. He was so lost in Aroon's face that he didn't realize someone's presence outside his car. So he was literally startled by the knock on the window. He looks outside and is surprised to see Aroon's sister standing outside. He rolls down the window and smiles at her.
Atid: Hi Anong.
Anong: Hello Atid. Are you guys going to come in or are you going to sit here staring at my sleeping brother.
Atid: I...We...
Anong: Oh, don't be shy. I know my brother is really cute and you can't stop looking at him. But it's quite late and you have been in the car for past 30 minutes. Mom is waiting for you inside to have dinner.
Atid smiles sheepishly, feeling awkward on being caught staring. Atid looks at Aroon and then gets out of the car. Then he goes to the passenger side and opens the door. He then gently calls Aroon.
Atid: Aroon
But Aroon just turns around and sleeps more comfortably. Anong laughs seeing that.
Anong: Let me wake him up. He need more than sweet talk to wake him up.
Anong was about to shout his name when Atid stops her.
Atid: Don't.
Anong steps back shocked.
Atid: I am sorry. I didn't mean to shout at you. It's just that he fainted today.
Anong: Oh my God. What happened? How did that happen?
Atid:He was exhausted and his blood sugar was low. Doctor put him on drip and I have fed him sandwich and juice before leaving office. He just need proper sleep. So please don't wake him up.
Anong: Ok. But we need to get him to his room.
Atid: I will do it.
Atid gently picks Aroon into his arms and then carries him into the house followed by Anong. Aroon's mom freaks out seeing Aroon.
Aroon's mom: Oh my God, what happened to my baby?
Anong: He is Okay mom. He is sleeping due to exhaustion. Atid didn't want to wake him up. Atid just take Aroon upstairs. His room is the first one on the left.
Atid: Hmm
Atid slowly walks up the stairs and enters the first room on the left as per Anong's instructions. He gently lays Aroon on the bed and covers him with the comforter. He then steps away from the bed and looks at him. He seem to be restless as he twists and turns on the bed. Atid felt like he was searching for something. Then he saw a large plush toy lying on the floor. He quickly gets it places it in Aroon's arms. Aroon hugs it hard and a smile appears on his face. A smile appears on Atid's face seeing the serene look on Aroon's face.
Atid: Cute
"Looks like you found Buttons."
Atid looks at Anong who was standing at the door smiling at him.
Atid: Buttons?
Anong: The teddy in Aroon's hand, his name is Buttons. It's so worn out and dirty but Aroon loves it so much and cannot sleep without it. It's our dad's last gift to him.

Anong's gets teary on saying that. Atid could feel how much she missed her father. He unknowingly moves towards her and hugs her tight. A smile appears on her face seeing Atid trying to comfort her.
Anong: It's okay Atid. It's been a long time since he left us but I miss him some times. I still have so much memories of him but Aroon hardly got to know him. He was only six when he passed away. This teddy was given to him by dad on his 6th birthday. He keeps it close because he feels dad's presence in that teddy.
Atid: Hmm
Anong breaks the hug and wipes her tears. She then brings a smile on her face.
Anong: Come down. Mom is waiting to have dinner.
Atid: But I ...
Anong: No buts. This is also your home Atid. You are also part of our family now. So no more unnecessary formalities.
Atid nods his head. He looks at Aroon's sleeping figure once more before following Anong downstairs to the dining room.
In the dining room:
Atid sits on the dining table and Aroon's mom and sister starts getting busy serving him.
Atid: Aunty, I can't eat so much.
Aroon's mom: Oh come on son. You are young, you need to eat well. And don't call me Aunty. Just call me Mama Ariya.
Atid: Thank you Mama Ariya.
Aroon's mom: You are welcome my child.
Atid takes a bite of the food on his plate and a smile appears on his face.
Atid: Oh wow, this is so tasty Mama Ariya. I can eat a bowl of this any time.
Aroon's mom: Then have some more my child.
Aroon's mom puts more noodles on his plate. Atid looks at huge pile of noodles on his plate in shock while Anong burst out laughing.
Anong: Mom, what have you done? He was just praising your cooking. You literally dumped the entire noodles on his plate.
Aroon's mom: Sorry
She looks at Atid sheepishly. Atid felt warmth seeing her innocent smile.
Atid: It's Okay Mama Ariya. I will eat it.
Atid starts eating the noodles as Anong looks at him with her mouth wide open. Unknown to them someone was watching them with a smile on his face.
