Chapter Twenty Nine

Next day morning Aroon gets ready and walks down to the living room. His sister was already waiting for him there.

Anong: Can you tell me now where we are going and what is your plan?

Aroon: Be patient P. You will know in some time.

Anong: Hmm

They both take a cab from their home to a small cafe in a less crowded area of the city. They enter the cafe and Aroon starts searching looking around.

"Aroon here."

Aroon greets the guy with a smile and walks towards him followed by Anong.

Aroon: Goodmorning PMek. How are you?

Mek: I am good. How are you?

Aroon: I am Okay. Before I forget, let me introduce you to my sister PAnong.

Mek: Hello PAnong.

Anong: Just call me Anong.

Mek: Okay. Why are you guys standing?  Please take a seat.

Aroon: Hmm

After taking seats around the table, Mek looks at Aroon with anticipation.

Mek: So, what is it that you want to talk to me about?

Aroon: Shouldn't we wait for PChai? My friends are also coming.

Mek: Okay.

They chitchat a bit while they wait for the others to join. Soon Niran joins them. Mek tries to call Chai but his phone was engaged.

Mek: Chai might be stuck in traffic.

Aroon: Where is Kiet?

Niran: He said he is on the way.

"We are here."

Everyone looks in the direction of the voice and is surprised to see Chai and Kiet together.

Aroon: Oh PChai, Kiet, you are here. Please sit down.

They sat on the two empty chairs quickly. Mek looks at Chai and he was avoiding eye contact with him. He then looks at the cute guy who came with Chai. He seem to be equally flustered as Chai.

Mek: Where did you go Chai? You left come before me.

Chai: I..I...

Aroon: And how do you know Kiet PChai?

Chai: We...I...

Chai was stammering as everyone looks at him with concern.

Kiet: We are ex-boyfriends.

Everyone: WHAT?

Mek: How? When? Why didn't you tell me Chai?

Chai looks at Kiet in shock while his friend looked at him waiting for an answer.

Kiet: We know each other since we were kids and started dating when I was in high school and PChai joined college.

Mek looks at Chai who is still not saying anything. Then something clicks in his head.

Mek: You are Kiet, his first love.

Now it was Kiet's turn to be surprised.

Kiet: You know me?

Mek: Well, you are the only person who made my bestfriend cry since the time I know you. You left him a crying mess and it took us months to get him back to normal.

Kiet looks away unable to meet Mek's accusing eyes.

Mek: Didn't you break up with him without giving a reason? Why are you here now?
