Atid stood outside Aroon's house rubbing his stomach, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Atid: Looks like I overate. I am feeling so bloated.
Anong starts laughing seeing Atid's face.
Anong: If you are not in a hurry. Let's take a walk. It should help you.
Atid: Hmm
They both started walking down the street and soon reached an empty park. They both sat on the swings and enjoyed the night silently.
Atid: What was he like as a kid?
Anong: Huh?
Atid: Aroon, what was he like as a kid?
Anong: He was very bubbly and naughty kid. But everyone around him loved him because he filled our lives with laughter. Dad used to call him our sunshine because he lit our world with his smile. When we lost our dad, we lost a part of that sunshine. It was like my little baby matured overnight. He no longer played any pranks or irritated me. He started to take care of mom and me. Then things got worse when he was in high school.
Atid: What happened?
Anong: We were facing financial crisis and our restaurant was not doing well. He did odd jobs like waiting tables, running errands etc to pay his school fees. Some of his classmates came to know about this and they bullied him. He got beaten and his money was snatched from him. This happened every day until someone came out to help him. He save him from the bullies and complained to the authorities about them. They got suspended and since then he has been shield from everything and everyone that can hurt him.
Atid: Niran?
Anong: Hmm, Niran his bestfriend. I always thought they would end up together.
Atid flinches on hearing that. Anong laughs seeing Atid's face.
Anong: They are just bestfriends who love and cherish each other very much. The day I saw my baby brother with you, I knew he has finally found the one he was waiting for.
Atid: But we...
Anong: I know it's an arranged marriage Atid and you don't know much about each other but some times love happens in a second. Do you remember the day you met him for the first time?
Atid nods his head.
Anong: That day he came home limping. I was so worried for him and when Niran told me that he got hurt when someone pushed him deliberately, the wanted to punch that guy.
Atid: I...I was the one who pushed him.
Anong: I know. I was so angry at you at that time but my anger dissipated when I heard Aroon's words.
Atid: What did he say?
Anong: He said you didn't do it purposely. You were just upset about something and he could see pain and loneliness in your eyes.
Atid looks at Anong in shock on hearing her words.
Atid: How?
Anong: I don't know. I guess that's what soulmates are.
Atid does not say anything and just stares into the darkness.
Atid: You already know who I am Anong. I am sure Niran has already given you a good idea about my character. Why did you agree with your brother getting married to someone like me?
Anong: Because its his choice. He believes in his choice and I believe in him.
Atid: Is it that simple?
