Chapter Forty Six

Atid: Will you leave me Aroon? Will you also ask for a divorce?

Aroon looks at Atid in shock. The pain and uncertainty he saw in his eyes was huge.

Aroon: PAtid...

Atid: You know I have led a reckless life and broken so many hearts in the past that I am afraid that some day, my past will come haunting me. I know I deserve the pain but I don't want you to get hurt just because you are part of my life.

Aroon: But...

Atid: Chai was never a Casanova. He never hurt anyone's feelings. He  always indulged in innocent flirting. His heart always belonged to Kiet and he never looked at anyone after he came back to his life. Still Kiet didn't trust him or his love. They almost broke up because of misunderstanding. What if my past comes back to me? What if you don't trust me? What if you decide you no longer want me? What if you decide to end it all? So I think...

Before he could complete his sentence, his mouth is sealed by a pair of soft lips. He looks at Aroon with his eyes wide open in shock. After a few seconds, Aroon ends the kiss with a pop and looks at Atid with a serious expression.

Aroon: PAtid, please listen to me very carefully. I am not going anywhere from your life. You are the One for me. If it's not you, then there is no one else for me. I will not deny that I was hurt every time I saw you with someone else but my heart always belonged to you and I could never push you away even when your acts caused me pain. I know there are so many whatifs in your mind but there is one thing you can trust upon without any doubts and that is my love for you. I love you very, very much.

Aroon looks at Atid who is avoiding eye contact with him.

Aroon: Please look at me PAtid.

Atid nods his head in no. Aroon grabs his chin and raises his face up but Atid has his eyes closed tight.

Aroon: PAtid, please look at your Aroon.

Atid opens his eyes and looks at Aroon who is already looking at him with tear filled eyes.

Aroon: P, I have never loved or liked anyone my entire life. But the day I met you, I felt something change in me and before I knew it my heart no longer belonged to me. I tried to stop myself from loving you but a heart wants what it wants and my heart, it just belongs to you. I know you love me and I have felt your love. So, please don't try to push me away from you. I no longer know how to live my life without you PAtid.

Atid looks at Aroon with tears in his eyes as he absorbs each word said by Aroon. He gently grabs Aroon's face in his palms and places a kiss on his forehead.

Atid: I don't want to let you go Aroon. But I don't want to see you hurt too. I have craved for someone's love my entire life and when I got it from you, I am feeling overwhelmed and scared. I am scared of you leaving me one day like everyone else. I will not be able to bear that pain Aroon. I will die....

Aroon closes Atid's mouth with his hand before he could say anything further.

Aroon: Don't..please don't say anything bad. Nothing will happen to you. I will never leave you. How can I leave you when you are my home, my very reason to live?

Atid could no longer hold himself back and he pulls Aroon into a tight hug. They cry in each others arms as all their hidden feelings and emotions are now out in the open. Their tears finally stop after some time and they are now sitting calmly  with their arms securely wound around each other.

Atid: Aroon

Aroon: Hmm

Atid: Will you marry me?

Aroon: Huh?

Atid: Will you marry me?

Aroon: But we are already getting married in 4 weeks.

Atid: No, will you marry me tomorrow?

Aroon: WHAT?

Atid: Now that you are mine, I don't want to take the risk of losing you. I don't want to waste time getting engaged. I want to marry you. I want to make you mine forever as soon as possible. Let's get married tomorrow.

A smile appears on Aroon's face on hearing Atid's words. He takes his hands into his hands and looks into his eyes with love.

Aroon: OK, let's get married tomorrow.

Atid: Really?

Aroon: Hmm. You are not the only one who is scared of losing the one they love. I am also afraid that you will change your mind and push me away.

Atid: No, Never. You are mine and will always be mine. Let's make it legal kitten.

Aroon: Hmm.

Atid: I think we need to leave now. I don't have much time. I need to beg, force or blackmail my old man to get a slot for marriage registration tomorrow.

Aroon: Will he and your parents be upset with this decision?

Atid: Well, they are the one who wanted me to get engaged to you. Now, I don't want to. I want to marry you. They just need to accept it.

Aroon: PAtid, they are you family. Don't be so rude to them.

Atid: What? I am not changing my decision even if they disagree. I don't want to stay away from you anymore.

Atid looks away pouting. Aroon chuckles on seeing this cute side of Atid. He quickly gets up, sits on Atid's lap and wraps his arms around his neck. He then places a chaste kiss on his lips.

Aroon: Don't be angry na. Aroon loves PAtid a lot and we will convince our family for the marriage.

Atid: Promise?

Aroon Promise.

Atid: Thank you,thank you, thank you.

Atid covers Aroon's face with kisses in excitement while Aroon laughs out loud seeing the happiness in Atid's eyes.

Aroon gets up from Atid's lap and then holds out his hand.

Aroon: Come, let's go and meet them together.

Atid: OK

Atid grabs Aroon's hand and they both walk out of the garden with a huge smile on their face.
