His Alibi

“Hey Choi Soobin! I know you’re in there! Hey! Wake up, dumbass!”

I’m knocking his doors even though I know it’s open. I just don’t want to repeat what happened last night. Then after couple of minutes he opened the door.

He yawns and scratches the back of his head. “What now?” he asked.

“Tell me what you saw that night, right now,” I ordered him.

He opens his arm in front of me. “The summon?”

“It’s coming,” I replied.

He shook his head. “Nah, bye. I’m tired so I’m gonna sleep again,” he replied and is about to close the door but I stopped him and entered.

“Please tell me, Soobin,” I seriously pleaded.

“Why do you want to know about it? I didn’t see anything in there. There’s none. I don’t even know someone’s dead in there,” he replied.

“Show me where it is,” I said.

He sighs and rolled his eyes. “This is why I hate cops,” he muttered. “Okay, I’ll just take a shower or do you want to see me do it?” he teased me again and he smirks.

“Jerk,” I cursed him and went outside so I can drink some coffee.

I also change clothes and wait for Soobin at the salas. He went out of his room wearing black pullover and tight jeans. We both head outside and I drive my car.

“They say you’ve been seen in the CCTV for the past three days in the area, why is that?” I asked on the way.

“I am working,” he replied.

“What kind of work?” I asked again.

“Are you seriously interviewing me, right now?”

“Just answer me, will you?”

“Tsk! I have a client in there,” he gives in.

“Client? What exactly your job is?” I asked again in knitted brows.

“You’ll know,” he just replied.

This guy is really a pain in the ass— oh please don’t mention ass for now. I’m getting goosebumps in no specific reasons.

I parked at the public parking and we started walking towards the alley where it turns out to be the place the last victim got killed. There’s a barricade tape surrounding the scene. I looked up and saw couple of CCTVs in the area.

“That house is where I am the past three days because of my client. While passing here, I didn’t see anything suspicious at all. This is a garbage area so why the fuck I’m going to go there?” he explained.

“But I saw you stopping at this area, you didn’t really saw someone in here?” I asked again.

“Nope. I stopped in here because of that cat,” he pointed the cat and he’s suddenly calling it. “I found it cute,” he stated.

“Are you fucking kidding me right now, Choi Soobin?”

“Of course not! For real, I’m stating the truth in here! Okay, I’ll be honest. It was my last day of work in that house and around 11pm I saw someone dumping the garbage in here but he’s just caring the bag likes nothing. So who the hell will suspect him? And then I also saw some old lady leaving trash in here. Like it’s so normal because this is a dumping area,” he reasoned.

I sigh. “Make sure to tell the investigator about what you said to me, okay? In verbatim,” I instructed.

“Okay, detective.”
