Lack Of Evidence

CHOI YEONJUN

“Come here you piece of shit!”

“H-hyung! Wait a—“ he wasn’t able to finish his sentence when I landed a punch on him.

“Choi Yeonjun what the fuck are you doing!?” Beomgyu interrupted and grabs me away from Huening.

“Asshole, where the fuck were you last night? Huh! Come here—“

“Yeonjun! Stop it now!” Beomgyu stops me.

“Let go!” I growl and pushed him away from me. I went to Huening and grab his collar then pushed him against the wall.

“H-hyung! I don’t really know! A-at least make me explain— a-ah! It hurts!” Huening yelled in pain.

“Choi Yeonjun! Hueningkai! What the hell is this!? Can’t you see we’re in a serious situation right now!? And you Choi Beomgyu, why aren’t you stopping them!?” we heard our captain’s voice.

I let go of Huening and calm myself down then put some distance between us. I heard him then coughing and Beomgyu helped him.

“Put Hueningkai in the interrogation room and Beomgyu will ask him,” Captain Kim instructed. “And you Choi Yeonjun, talk to me in my office. Move!”

“Let’s go Kai,” Beomgyu walks with Huening.

I head inside the Captain’s office. “Tell me what happened,” he stated as soon as he takes a seat.

Then I started explaining to him what happened last night. After that he dismissed me. I am on my way in the interrogation room when someone blocked my way.

“Hello, Detective Choi! Well as you can see—“

“I’m sorry, I’m busy,” I replied and walk passed by him.

“Detective Choi Yeonjun! It’s people’s right to know what happened. Please, can you tell me?” he insisted and followed me.

“Mr. Kim Sunoo, I don’t care about your job but I know as well I have the right not to tell you what’s happening right now. You, people in the media are always the root of misunderstanding. So, get lost before I could hit you,” I countered and turns my back.

“Whoa! Did you just threaten public servant? A newscaster? I could sue you—“

“You son of a bitch—“ someone held both of my arms and pulled away from Sunoo. “Let go of me! I’m really mad already and he’ll even show up his face in here!” I yelled.

“Ah, sorry Mr. Kim. We’re really busy right now. Don’t worry our team will release a briefing soon,” Lee said in his calm voice.

“But is it true that one of the detectives here is associated with Spades? What can you say about that? Was it really true?” I heard Sunoo asked and he’s fucking holding a pen and paper now.

“Hey! Don’t answer him! Why the fuck are they allowing an outsider inside the quarters!?” I complained while glaring at Sunoo.

“I’m really sorry, Mr. Kim. I can’t give you any details. L-let’s just go inside before our boss here will kill you,” Lee replied and escorted the reporter outside.

That’s when these people let go of me. “Annoying,” I muttered and finally entered the room.

“So you were at that neighborhood?” Beomgyu asked Kai while typing in the laptop.

“Yes. When I got off here I went there to meet someone I know but I never saw Detective Choi in there,” Kai replied.

“May I know what you were doing in there? And who did you met?” Beomgyu asked again.
