"Hueningkai resigned."

Yeonjun stop reading when he heard it from his team member. He can't blame the kid, he's already done with his hyung and what Yeonjun did actually hurt the younger. Maybe, it's better to be in that way.

"He resigned? To protect Taehyun?" he whispered mostly to himself and smirked. "So this is what's going to happen now?"

The truth is Yeonjun's afraid that he might turn into the same way. Turning a blind eye and neglect the truth just to protect the one he loves.

"Let's just tell him the truth."

"No! I said no for how many times Hueningkai! You can't tell him the truth!" Taehyun yelled at him. "Kai, I already told you that no matter what, nothing will happen—"

"What if he can still change things? Huh? What if through him this will end?" Hueningkai wondered.

"Kai, he is the heir of the mafia family and he will do everything to protect himself and it might include hurting you. I-I don't want that. Just let him do what he wants. You already ended everything what's between you too," Taehyun insisted.

Hueningkai just looked away and collected himself. "I-I didn't really expect him to actually do that," he said in shakily voice.

"And now he's after me and you. Huening, we really need to let go of each other now."

That line of Taehyun made him look at his beloved. "What are you saying again? I already told you I won't!"

"I need to! H-he... He will come at you I we d-don't—"

"Who!? Spades? Who the fuck is he Taehyun!? Tell me! I'm going to kill him myself!" Hueningkai shouted in anger while his tears are about to fall.

"I've been hiding you from him, Kai. Because I don't want you to know him. Because if he does and he knows there's something going on us, he'll surely do bad thing to you. A-and breaking up with you is the only way I can protect you from him—"

"But I don't want to," Huening cried and held tight in Taehyun's hand. "Don't do this Taehyun, please."

"Please Kai, I'm so sorry. I love you so much but please. Let's just have our own ways and I want you to promise me something—"

"No!" he yelled in sobs. "I don't want to! Taehyun, don't leave me. We've been at this for so long. If you're going to leave me what I'm supposed to do alone?"

"Promise me that you're going to stop protecting Yeonjun and protect yourself instead," Taehyun stated out of his lover's plead.

"T-Taehyun... why? Why!?"

Taehyun pulled his hand that made Hueningkai fall on the cold ground. "I will always love you, Huening. It's just that I need to do this. Go back to where you really are, they wil keep you safe," Taehyun stated and walks away.

"Taehyun! Don't leave me! Please!" Hueningkai shouted and tried standing and followed Taehyun who already get on his car.

Taehyun didn't stop and continued to start the car and slowly drives away while Huening is knocking on its window. "Taehyun! Please! Stop! Taehyun!"

"I'm sorry, Kai. I might die any minute now and I want you to live," Taehyun muttered and completely drove off, leaving Hueningkai.

Huening left alone in the cold place while crying. He shivers and sobs as hard as his lover departs not just in the place but in his life as well. How could Hueningkai continue what he's supposed to do now that Taehyun's already with him?
