Who Are You?

“Hyung, Beomgyu hyung’s acting a bit weird.”

Yeonjun pulled his eyes off the monitor to look at the younger. “What do you mean?” Yeonjun asked.

“He’s always grumpy but now he looks… kind? Is he going to die any minute—“

“Hey!” Yeonjun stopped the younger by hitting his nape. “Back to work.”

Yeonjun just smiled and continued working. During their lunch time, he received a message from Soobin asking if they could see each other even for just a short time.

“Hey,” Yeonjun greeted Soobin with a smiled and take a seat beside him. “Why do you suddenly wants to see me?” Yeonjun asked.

Soobin smiled. “I’m just going to tell you something,” he said.

“Oh, what is it?”

“One of my friends in art industry recently got in an accident,” he started. “Then she got her surgery but you know what’s the worst?” he asked.

“What is it?”

“She just got her tattoo near it. So it actually got messed up because of the needed surgery and it will eventually leave a scar that will make her tattoo disappear or fucked up.”

Yeonjun clenched his fist and looked away while gritting his teeth in anger. “W-why are you telling me that?” he asked Soobin, trying to be calm.

“Why? It’s an interesting story,” Soobin replied and chuckles.

“You are really an evil, you know that?” Yeonjun asked him, looking intently at the younger’s eyes.

Soobin just chuckles and looked away. He let out a light sighs. “It’s Christmas Eve soon, let’s meet at my studio. Celebrate it with me,” he paused and looked at Yeonjun. “See you in there, Yeonjun.”

He stood up but Yeonjun hold his wrist to stop him. “W-why are you doing this to me?” he asked in teary-eyed.

Soobin’s innocent face went really deadly as he looked at Yeonjun. “Why? See me and you’ll know why. I can’t wait to tell you an old fairytale story. You won’t get bored, that’s a promise,” Soobin pulled his arm and walks away.

Yeonjun exhales to stop himself from crying. He then received a call from Wooyoung so he breathe deeply first. “O-oh why?”

(I’m going to send you and hospital. They say there’s a kid that actually close to Soobin that got hospitalized and was seen getting visits from him before.)

“D-did that kid was in Heart Orphanage as well?”

(No, he has his own family. It’s just that they went to the same middle school before in District 5.)

“Give me the address.”

Yeonjun is still calming himself while he’s driving towards the hospital where Wooyoung said can have the record and so he could finally know who has the heart tattoo.

He asked and asked to the nurses before he reached the general surgeon, Dr. Jeon Jungkook’s office. “Oh, hello please sit,” the doctor greeted him.

“I’m so sorry that I didn’t have any appointment,” Yeonjun apologized.

Dr. Jeon just smiled. “Ah it’s okay, it’s my free time anyways. What can I do for you, Detective?” he asked.

“Around year 2013, was there a kid that got rushed on the ER due to an accident?” Yeonjun asked.

“Wait, I look for it,” the doctor said and started typing on his keyboard while carefully looking at the monitor. “2013? I was still a resident intern that time so I’m not sure if I have any records in here,” he stated.
