Random Scribbles

“It’s in abandoned building, the one that got burned couple of years ago. But you know hyung the oddest one is this.”

I held the picture that he lends me. My brows suddenly meet each other after seeing it. “What the hell is this?” I muttered, looking at how horrible it is. “Are they relatives?” I asked.

“Nope. The woman whose sitting is around 30 years of age and just living alone we’re still gathering enough information about her and the one lying on her lap is a college student. We’re still trying to contact their relatives. I just hope the media won’t meddle again,” Huening answered.

“Isn’t this position familiar to you?” I asked him out of sudden. “A woman sitting while looking at a guy lying on her lap? Why does it feels like I already saw this before?” I reminisced.

Huening shrugged his shoulders. “Doesn’t ring a bell to me, hyung. Ah also, aside from those we also found again some random scribbles still carved with blades or knife in their bodies. Woman has it near her chest and the other one is on his leg,” he added.

“That too. I don’t really understand why is he leaving random blade scribbles in his victims? What the fuck is he trying to say?” I wondered.

“Detective Kai? Let’s go!”

“Beomgyu sunbae, I’m here!” he answered when he was called. “We’re heading out again, hyung. I’ll just tell you what we found out later. Okay?”

“Ah Kai, can you come at my unit tonight?” I asked.

“I’ll try, hyung. Later again,” he said and excused himself.

I even saw Beomgyu glaring at me so I raised my brow at him and he rolled his eyes at me. “What the fuck is his deal?” I muttered.

“Detective Choi?” someone called me from behind.

“Yep?”

“Shooting incident report in District 3,” he reported to me and we both started walking back to the station.

“Someone died? But today’s my day off,” I asked.

“Yes, Detective. The suspect and I’m really sorry about this, Detective Choi,” he answered and apologized. “Another case appeared after Spades and this again. All the detectives went out,” he explained.

I just nod. “I see, then I don’t have any choice now. Self-defense?”

“I think it is.”

“Let’s go,” I replied and we both prepared for going out.

After investigating and it’s not done yet, I head home. I arrived at night already and saw Soobin watching some news again with his sketchpad again.

“Did you cook something?” I asked him as I take off my jacket and put it on the dining table.

“Uh yeah, eat a lot,” he replied.

“Thanks. I am so tired,” I muttered and wash my hands before digging in.

I didn’t heard him reply and he’s just busy doing sketches while glancing at the TV and the news is actually about this recent Spades’ victim.

“Can you turn off the TV?” I asked him. “I’m kind of sick already hearing it,” I reasoned.

“What did Atty. Kang told you?” he asked out of the topic.

“He didn’t tell me anything,” I answered.

“I see,” he commented.

“Do you know each other? Did you call him beforehand that I’m coming in his firm?” I asked again.
