“The art of death?”
“Yep!” he agreed. “Did you know that Da Vinci likes dissecting dead people? Because he is more on the anatomy of a person, he likes doing it. And that goes for me too, through witnessing countless death in the mafia, I am also mastering the art of it,” he explained and smiled.
“You’re insane for thinking someone’s death is an art,” I countered.
“Death itself is art, Detective Choi.”
“Forget it,” I gave up. “San told me you were selling drug in your university but why are you on the list that kills people and Park Sunghoon becomes your hoobae?” I asked again.
“Sunghoon is a rascal. That kid— he’s really a brat. You know, no one can tame that asshole. If he wants to kill he will really kill and that’s why they put him below me. You know? To tame him a bit,” he smiled after that. “We’re really nothing. I don’t really know what they are doing. We’re in mafia so the order of killing this and that isn’t new,” he explained.
“Choi Soobin,” I called him. “I’m starting to think that you already killed someone but you just got away,” I stated.
He chuckles, lean forward as he rested his chin on his palm while looking at me mischievously. “Really? You think so? Sadly, there’s nothing on you that can prove I’m guilty. Sucks, right?”
“So you already killed someone?”
“Have you as well?”
I pursed my lips and stood up. “No,” I replied. “I’m going to sleep now. I’m tired. Thank you for tonight,” I said and walked passed him when he grab my wrist. “What?”
He stood up and pushed me back on the chair then he sits on my crotch. “Do you think I just answered you without receiving something in return?” he asked.
I looked away as I hid my smiles. We went from serious topic to this again. There’s no straight topic when we’re together. We’re always on a ride.
“I’m tired tho?” I said.
“I don’t care and it’s not my fault,” he replied and then kissed me.
Of course it moved and the rest happened.
I woke up and about to move when I realized that Soobin’s lying on my arm, sleeping. I automatically smiles and brushes some strands of his hair. I gently move his head and I went out from the bed, picking up my clothes silently.
I head back to my room and take a shower then I messaged Hueningkai that we’re going somewhere. After that I went back to Soobin’s room and he’s still sleeping.
“I’ll be going now,” I almost whispered and then turn my back.
“Yeonjun,” I heard him called in a sleepy voice.
So I went back to his room and went beside him. “Yes?”
“Did you eat?” he asked, closed eyes while hugging a pillow under his blanket.
“Ah no, I’ll just grab something to eat later,” I replied.
He slowly opens his eyes. “Should I cook for you? I’ll make it quick,” he said and then takes a seat, revealing his half body.
I shook my head and smiled at him. “It’s fine, Soob. Just continue sleeping and rest. I need to go now,” I said.
He completely stood up and I saw his full naked body. Yes, he’s still naked. He went closer to me and gives me a kiss. “Take care. You’re probably going to meet Sunghoon, right?”
