Heirs
"When is your kid going to show up?"
"I don't have a kid," Mr. Choi casually replied still with his polite tone, hoping the old man will believe it.
Don Mariano chuckles. "I see, time's clicking. Sooner or later he'll show up in here and if that happens, the selection will commence," he stated.
"You arealdy have your heir. Why are you still going to choose between them?" Mr. Choi asked.
"It's a tradition, son. We need to select who's the most capable of being the heir that will continue our generation. Due to our sudden closure, we lost 10% of our profit sales. It's a big lost, you know? If your kid survives and he will face the other kid, who will win?"
"I heard my son grew up so well, so I'm not really sure," Mr. Choi replied.
"Right, I heard it too," Don Mariano agrees while nodding. "He grew up so well," he then chuckles.
A knock enteruppted their conversation and the Don gestured the maid to speak. "Young master Jay is already below, Don Mariano," she announced.
"Oh that's good, I already missed that kid," the Don replied in delight and welcomed one of his grandsons.
"It's been a while, haraboji. I missed you so much," Jay greeted the respected old man with a bow and then give him a hug.
"I mssed you too, Jay. You're always doing great. I never regret putting you in that position," Don Mariano complimented his grandson.
"It's all thanks to your lectures and guidance, haraboji," Jay replied and smiled.
Don Mariano nods in agreement. "It's really heart warming seeing good results as always," he commented. He then noticed another car arrived from the outside.
"He's here," Don Mariano whispered.
"I haven't seen him for long. When was the last time he come home, haraboji?" Jay asked while looking outside.
"Years ago," the Don casually replied and smiled. "Aigoo! My grandson, you're finally home!" he exclaimed and open his arms wide open.
The guy who just arrived faked a smile and acted excited then hugged the old man. "I'm sorry, it took me so long," he replied and let out soft chuckles.
"You are always welcome! Whenever you come home you are always welcome!"
"Thank you so much, haraboji," the man replied and smiles again.
"Don Mariano, Mr. Xheng wants to talk to you over the phone for importing goods," another personnel interrupted.
"Then youngmen, as you can see I am busy," he chuckles. "You two stay here for dinner, okay? I still have something to do," Don Mariano excused himself and went back to his office.
Jay and the other guy went outside as they feel both suffocated inside the mansion. They stay in the garden for some fresh air, they take a seat with some cold beverages on the table.
"Congratulations, man," Jay expressed and smiled at the guy infront of him.
"Stop, it's not confirmed yet. We're still waiting fof him to comeback," he denied and looks away, agitated.
"Dude it is confirmed. He'll comeback or not everything under Spade Organization will be in you. They are just waiting for him to comeback so they can kill him," Jay explained.
"Why are they going to kill him when he still has his family in here? How about you? Why didn't they kill you? Huh?" he asked.
"I've been useful since I was born. The Choi family hid the fact that they have a kid and that angers Don Mariano. Also I heard this one, haraboji went to some kind of a shaman and that shaman said that the kid actually possess a great power in him, he will live long and might be a bad fortune to the family. That is why the old man wants to kill him badly and put you on the position before it happens," Jay explained with his tea of gossips.
