It's Starting

“Yeonjun, wake up. Breakfast is ready.”

I slowly open my eyes and the feeling of someone’s gently playing with my hair went in. I saw Soobin smiling at me and I automatically smiled back.

How can I let go of him if I’m starting to feel this now?

“Good morning,” I greeted him and take a seat.

“Good morning, detective who’s under suspension,” he teased me and we both laughed. “Get up now, I made a cheesy omelet,” he said and went out from the bed.

I grab his hand and pulled him for a kiss. He then just smiled at me because I didn’t say anything. “Let’s go,” I said and we both head outside.

I heard the TV newscast and they are having live coverage of Spades' court case. “If he’s Spades and he’s under Spade Organization then why Atty. Kang isn’t presenting him?” I asked as I poured a glass of water.

“Beats me,” Soobin commented. “I don’t think Taehyun can handle such case,” he replied while looking at the TV.

Soobin didn’t appear as a witness because the prosecution didn’t requested to and if ever there’ll be, he might reject the subpoena.

“First name basis,” I noticed. “You two are close?” I asked him.

“Nope,” he just replied. “You’re not going in there?” he asked me.

“I don’t want to waste my time to a useless roleplay,” I answered. “I don’t want to see Beomgyu for the meantime as well,” I added.

“Did you two fight? You know at the mansion, he’s glaring at me,” he shared.

I laugh. “Really?”

“Yeah, I don’t know why. Maybe he’s just mad that I’m a witness again,” he concluded.

“Maybe,” I replied.

“Do you have somewhere to go later?” he asked me as he eats.

“Yeah, why?” I asked him.

“Nothing, I’m going to meet San later. So, I might come home late,” he said.

“Then I’ll just wait here,” I replied and he nods.

We parted our ways and I can see people being busy with the Spades case. All of their eyes are centered in there and are all thankful that he’s finally getting the punishment that he deserves which is not him actually.

“Hey darling, long time no see,” I heard a familiar voice from my back and an arm wrapped my shoulder.

“Hey, you’re still handsome as ever,” I complimented him and he chuckles.

“Why aren’t you at the court?” he asked me and lean his back against the bridge’s railing and looked up the sky.

“Let’s start it, Wooyoung,” I stated.

He moved his head sideways as he stared at me. “After we broke up years ago, this is the first time we’re going to see each other and that’s what you’re going to tell me?” he asked and smirked.

I looked at him. “I need you in here, wanna join or what?” I asked him.

He sighs. “I’m not sure, I’ve been into hell couple of times while I’m with you and you’re going to drag me back again in there?”

“Is it a no?”

"Wait, when we broke up did someone ever tamed you when you go crazy? That's one of the reason why we broke up," he asked me.
