Chapter 44: Selfishness

Selfishness

"Hey, Kang Taehyun."

"Why are you here? Are you with Yeonjun? How did you find me?" Taehyun asked in confusion.

This is a flashback of what really happened between Beomgyu and Taehyun. The day before Taehyun decided to break up with Hueningkai or the day of his death, Beomgyu meet him first.

"I'm going to give you solution on how will you protect Hueningkai. There's only two way Taehyun. First, let Kai know about Soobin and place him under his wing or submit to Yeonjun in order for him to let go of Kai," Beomgyu suggested.

"Are you insane!? Why the fuck I'm going to do that? Soobin hyung and Hueningkai can't be together in a team and I won't let Yeonjun arrest me! If Yeonjun does that, you should come with me—"

"How about Choi Soobin?" Beomgyu smirked. "I'm giving you the choices. Okay, let's say he won't arrest you but he will surely kill you. He's actually going to haunt you tonight and will end your life if he won't then Hueningkai is the next option," Beomgyu explained.

"That's a suicide, Choi Beomgyu."

"If that's the best choice then why not?"

"Are you fucking kidding me right now!? I can protect Hueningkai against the two and Soobin hyung from both of you! I can't let Soobin know who Kai is and I won't allow Yeonjun to use me against Soobin hyung," Taehyun defended.

"Then do you think I can't risk Hueningkai? Huh, Kang Taehyun?" Beomgyu taunted.

"W-what the fuck are you talking about?" Taehyun asked.

"Soobin wants to gather us again tonight, right? Do you think, I don't have the tongue to tell him who Kai to you is?"

"You piece of shit," Taehyun muttered while shaking in anger.

"Why? Are you afraid that if Soobin know who really Kai is something terrible will happen? Or there's more something else? Hueningkai knows something about Yeonjun and if I tell Soobin about it, what do you think will happen?" Beomgyu provoked the younger.

"I'm going to kill you, Choi Beomgyu!" Taehyun shouted and started attacking Beomgyu.

Both of them throws punches at each other and Taehyun had the chance to pressed Beomgyu against a wall and are almost choking him. "I really hate you so much, Choi Beomgyu. I know you are some kind of an evil too," Taehyun stated.

"What is your surroundings makes you too is true, I guess?" Beomgyu smirked and pushed Taehyun away from him. "I already told you what's going to happen, it's on you Kang Taehyun. Take it or leave it," Beomgyu stated and drive away.

That made Taehyun loses his sanity for a minute and started screaming like a madman. He then called his Soobin hyung and started apologizing to him. He didn't mention anything and he's just constantly crying and saying sorry to the elder.

That night, Beomgyu arrived at the meeting place. San greeted him like an old friend and Soobin didn't give a fuck about him. Soobin called Taehyun and when he mentioned to him that Beomgyu is around that's already Taehyun's cue to end everything without saying anything.

Taehyun thinks killing himself is the only way to protect those he needed to be protected. While on the other hand, Beomgyu's celebrating because a plan of him becomes successful.

Making Soobin thinks that Yeonjun is the reason why Taehyun killed himself will cause a greater gap between the two and in that way, Beomgyu will keep Yeonjun just to him.

Without knowing that Yeonjun isn't for him since the beginning and will never be his.

"Do you know how selfish you are, Choi Beomgyu?" Yeonjun asked Beomgyu after coming back from Soobin's place.

"H-hyung, it's not what it is! What Soobin told you was a total lie! I didn't plan such thing!" Beomgyu denied after hearing Yeonjun's story.

"How can I believe you, Beomgyu? How!? For how many times! For all the lies!? How should I still believe you!?" Yeonjun yelled at him.

Beomgyu felt scared for a second and tears forming in his eyes. "H-hyung, believe me please! B-but even if it's true you're still going to kill Taehyun, right? Right!?"

"Of course not! Why the fuck would I do that!? I just scare him so I could use him against Soobin, dumbfuck! Argh! You fucking asshole, what have you fucking done!?" Yeonjun scolded in anger.

Beomgyu looked away and cried because of what he heard and at that point he knew he's really in a wrong side already but he must keep on going.

"Why did you do it, huh? To keep me away from Soobin? You even told him I fucked you? My goodness Choi Beomgyu! Are you crazy!? I'm freaking trying to negotiate things with Soobin to end this peacefully and you're freaking ruining everything!"

"Why!? I did that so I can keep you, hyung! Because I don't want you to be with him! B-because I know that even if you said that you love me, I know that it's still Soobin no matter what I do! It stills him that you're going to choose despite of him being a freaking demon inside you!" Beomgyu bawled.

Beomgyu sniffs, "You will still choose him even if I was the one who has been always there for you! I am the one who calms you down, help you with everything but at the end, it's still Choi Soobin! Why!? Why are you hurting me so much!? Why are you so stupidly in love with him!? Why!?" he cried and fall on his knees.

"Beomgyu," Yeonjun called him in a calm tone. "I tried, I tried to love you and I always do but I just can't. No matter what I do, it's still him and I'm sorry for lying at you but what you did is unforgivable. I'm sorry but I'm done with you," Yeonjun stated and started walking away.

Beomgyu run and followed the older. He held his hand to stop him while constantly begging for him to stay. "No, hyung! Please! P-please, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I won't d-do it d-again. I know I b-become selfish about i-it. I w-won't do it again. I-I promise you, Yeonjun hyung."

"Let go, you disgust me, Choi Beomgyu."

"Hyung! I-I'm sorry! Hyung, I-I'm really sorry. Please, d-don't leave me. D-don't leave me alone. H-hyung," Beomgyu begged still crying and kneeling in front of Yeonjun.

Yeonjun pulled away his hand. "I'm sorry. I gave you the chance to not to break my trust again and I guess you didn't take is seriously. I'm sorry, Beomgyu," Yeonjun stated and totally went out of Beomgyu's pad.

"Hyung! Please! Don't leave me! Hyung! Spades will come after me. He'll kill me."
