The Spetnaz are top elites of the Russian Army, comparable to the American Delta Force and British SAS (Special Air Service), but highly secretive even to their own people. Their section specializes in infiltration, sabotage and assassination.
An hour after midnight they jumped off from a false commercial flight at high altitude, freefalling for two full minutes before opening their parachute at critically low altitude, slowing their descend and landed on top of the US Steel Tower. Their objective was to eliminate Komarov and his men, and remove any evidence that may prove their existence on US soil. Their task was to stop a war.
They entered the building through the roof, arriving the top floor where their targets should be, but only to find the floor empty and full of drums.
Down the street, the Pittsburgh police were shook by a massive explosion overhead. A series of fireballs burst from the top floor, sending a shower of glass and debris all over the block.
Under the chaos, no one took notice of two ambulances pulling out from the underground parking lot, mixing into traffic and drove away.
